June 25, 2002 -- GOODNIGHT, Maury and Matthew? When Connie Chung said those words at the conclusion of her first show on CNN last night, the sound of my groaning could be heard a block away.
Rule No. 1: Anchorwomen should not use their national news programs to bid "night night" to their husbands and young children.

For anyone who watched Connie Chung's debut, they know that this was one of the most awkward shows I have ever seen. (oh my god, Jon Stewart and the US Soccer team looked like they were sitting in theliving room with a senile aunt waiting for her to leave so they could relax.)
Chung is obviously not comfortable outside of a "read the cue card" or an editted interview (although her Condit interview sucked). The funny thing is that on the replay of her debut (11 pm EST) they CNN cut the show in half (from 60 to 30 mins)! LOL!
Ha! Another big laugh at the expense of CNN - this is supposed to compete with O'Reilly?

"Oh man, this show sucks!"
"Ha ha, I know!"

Is'nt she the scumbag who enticed Newt Gingrich's sweet old mom to say that Newt thought Hillary was a "bitch"?

Maybe Connie bid farewell to Maury and Matthew because they were the only ones watching the big shew

The "sense of urgency" is real. They are getting their clocks cleaned in the ratings and they know it.
Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch.

Saw a bit of her show when O'Reilly had a commercial. She was terrible.....she was interviewing someone about the 'Martha Mess' and forgot what question she should ask next. The guest had to tweak her brain...she seemed really out of it.
Then she kept saying that the owner of ImClone was in jail over it. She actually asked....Will Martha Stewart go to jail like the CEO of ImClone? The lawyer finally corrected her that he wasn't in jail yet.....just being investigated. She mumbled & stumbled and then said....I didn't mean that...of course he's not in jail.
She's not gonna last....she really can't think on her feet and needs a script to read. CNN bombs again!
