Next Monday the International Criminal Court officially comes to life. The required 60 nations have ratified it--although the U.S. has not--so in September the member nations will meet to set rules for selecting judges and its prosecutor.

By January the ICC may begin prosecuting international crimes if the relevant nation's own courts are unable or unwilling to do so and a member state or the U.N. Security Council refers a matter to it, or if the prosecutor decides on his own that something should be done. The court is authorized to investigate and prosecute four crimes committed by individuals (not nations) at any time after July 1: genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and "aggression," which has yet to be defined.

What's the problem? Seems like the accused will have more legal protections before the International Court, compared to US citizens held by the federal government.

"...in search of global justice?" Whose?

What would this ICC do about Robert Mugabe and other so-called leaders in Africa that commit genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and "aggression"? What about China, North Korea?

America has no place in this ill-gotten scheme of King-wannabees in the United Nations. Their Human Rights Commission is the perfect example of wrong headedness. America is about individual rights, about freedom from tyranny, freedom of choice, innocent until proven guilty, it is about Sovereignty, self government and self rule.

The ICC is out of place and step with the free world; redundant with courts already in place; in short a non argument already null and void. Another thug-ocracy of the United Nations that shouldn’t be given the light of day in credibility. Please turn the lights out as you leave Kofi...........

That's because you have no earthly idea what you're talking about. That's why you think the International Criminal Court is just fine and dandy.

To what sovereign is this "court" accountable?

Whose judicial power is being delegated to this "court"?

The ICC is a leftie work program. They get a permanent bureaucracy which has to seek out "crimes" with will be only American or possibly Israeli, completely influenced by the leftie doctrine of the day, and selective geopolitics. And it's another step in their elitist project to get rid of pesky democracy which doesn't recognize what wonderful people the lefties are, in their own minds.

For example, no crime would ever be charged against China.

Our Constitution carefully defines the rights of citizens and limits government, dividing power among the legislative, executive and judicial branches.

But we're busy fixing that.

Accepting bets on the FIRST case to be brought before this court. Which one of the following do YOU think this court will hear:

A) White genocide of Mugabe's citizens in Zimbabwe.

B) Sudan's slave trade of christians and violation of international human rights.

C) China's Laogai work camps.

D) North Korea's selfish and incompetent leadership that starves the populace while putting all available capital into development of intercontinental balstic missles and nuclear bombs.

E) George Bush as a war criminal for the invasion of Iraq.

Another tool to give the UN teeth. They created "limited conflicts" to prove the UN was needed.

I guess seeings how the peacekeeping organization can't keep Peace (but provides puppet governments for the new worlders), they are going to make examples of "criminals".

Like the label "Terrorist" the label "Criminal" can be made to encompass many people. George Washington was a "Terrorist" and "Criminal" in England.

Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Get America out of the UN and the UN out of America.

Oh Gee , saying that probably makes me a terrorist.......Do I have to pay for my transportation to and from the court?

I plead economic hardship, and press charges against the criminal Trust known as the federal reserve. They extort money from me through the IRS under threat of imprisonment.

I guess if our own Supreme Court won't listen to the case, the ICC won't either.

You know it's more than an assault on the Constitution. It's an assault on the Declaration of Independence. No sovereignty, we might as well be a part of England, or whatever other country wants to claim us.

It's being kept a secret, so future generations will accept the UN constitution believing ours is outdated and useless.

Which is why there are so many government agencies given power (illegally) above our Constituion. Such as the ATF, FBI, IRS, DNR, FEMA and so on.

Everything is in place to whip the new america into shape, all it's going to take is a disaster and a president to enact executive orders.

Planned Disaster #1 The Lusitainia.

Planned Disaster #2 Pearl Harbor.

Prelude to Disaster #3 New York.

Planned Disaster #3 will be bigger than the others.

They're doing everything the can to build the paranoia of terrorism, to make huge moves towards globalism. Such as Cabinet level committees to reign over American Citizens.

I thought our Military's purpose was to protect America. Instead they use what I believe to be planned disasters to get past our Constitution.

And so the FBI profilers know, I believe our Constitution is timeless, not outdated. I also believe it is still the greatest document ever written to protect a Free peoples basic Human Rights.

Something I won't keep secret or accept the destruction of.

I will defend my Constitution as best I can from enemies Foreign and Domestic.

Get America out of the UN and the UN out of America.
