Another freeper, jriemer, listened to this program this morning and thinks this may be a long-term Rat strategy to move toward public funding of elections, or the marginalization of middle class and upper income donors in favor of the poor. If you have time, listen and let us know what you think.

Ms. Marple,

If this spreads to all fifty states and the Federal level, this change in the tax code will become an "entitlement" for future social and political engineering. There is nothing to prevent politicians to introduce income limits and other restrictions on those wanting to receive this political campaign "subsidy".

Our elected officials have figured out a way to channel government funds into the hands of the voters as a reward for supporting political candidates and elected officals. Now what was said about the fate of democracy when the masses had the keys to the treasury?

No, they only want OUR money out of politics. You need to understand how to speak the Rat language!

Tax Credits for Political Contributions

Bad policy in the extreme. It amazes me that those who advocate such schemes cannot, or will not, perceive the evil that will be wrought from such idiocy.

This is a STATE program, which means they can deduct however the state decides they can. The discussion is what is the long-term plan.

Consider...we make all political contributions tax deductible. Those who don't normally pay taxes would get to deduct anyway, getting more money back from the government. It is a small step to disallow contributions over a certain income level (as has been done on mortgage interest, by the way).

Lots of room for shenanigans here. This is NOT an advantage to us, but rather a way for unions to move money through their members to the parties, a way for lower income people to sell their contributions to the Rat party, etc.

Obviously, you do not have a Rat mentality. Suppose that a lower income person were to be allowed to take a deduction as a tax credit. Let's say $100. It's a long way to seeing that money in a check. Suppose they could divert that money as a Rat contribution and then go to the unions, or a 501c3, or the Rats themselves and get reimbursed immediately.

"Need money? Sign line 7 on the state form, check the Rat box, and bring a copy of your return to our offices. We will give you the cash immediately."

Bill,

Remember, that during the American immigration booms before 1900, the Democratic machines in NYC, Chicago and Boston virtually "invented" the kick-back. With this Tax Credit plan, the Democrats are just going back to one of the oldest tricks in their book to stack an election.

As you maybe aware, the kick-back worked because the Democrats would set out to hire the "undesirable / unemployable" immigrants streaming into our country. In return these immigrants had a steady job, lost a "little" off the top back to the party, were required to work before elections and vote Democrat for eternity. Some are still voting from the grave.

What we are seeing here, is the old Dem machine "kick-back" system being written into the IRS tax code. Immigration has ecplised the "Great Migration" period that made Ellis Island famous. Just think what the Democrats can do with this law on the books along with Motor Voter?

You can get "free" money from the Government if you support their politics and the requirement that you have to work for the party is no longer there. The down side is the implied message that you should continue to vote Democrat - if you know what's good for you...
