Prayers and Guidance Needed for J. C. Watts
Congressman J. C. Watts Jr. is a special friend of Conservatives. His Conservative beliefs run deep. His earliest lessons were from his father J.C. Watts, Sr. As a Baptist preacher in rural South (it doesnt get much more rural than Eufaula, Oklahoma), Buddy Watts taught his son the truths of self-reliance, honesty and moral behavior.
As the only Black Republican in Congress, J.C. has been the lightning rod for self-serving liberals who tell him he is not black enough or a discredit to his race because he does not agree with their proven self-destructive far-left policies.
Its easy for many of us to openly espouse our Conservative beliefs, but for this underdog Orange Bowl winning quarterback, taking a Conservative political stand was difficult. His eight years in congress, the 16 hour days, his Republican Party leadership responsibilities, the constant travel, the separations from his beloved children, all have taken their toll. J.C. is seriously thinking of hanging it up.
Please pray to give him the strength to carry on. We need him and 434 more like him. Some Conservatives dont agree with every one of his positions, but with an ACU rating of 97% and an ADA rating of zero, hes my kind of Conservative and Republican!
J.C. took a serious personal blow when administration budget weenies wanted to cancel Crusader. J. C. represents Ft. Sill (home of the artillery) and knows how much the Army needs this modern field artillery weapon. Our existing artillery was all designed during the Korean War, so we need a serious update! J. C. needs our support and we, and the troops in the field need J.C. Please call him at (202) 225-6165 and thank him for his service
. and ask for it to continue.
We need every Conservative we can get, and J.C. is a shining star for many to follow.
Call him now!!!

I pray only that JC makes the right decision for him and his family and will support him in his choice.

Huge bump for calls. Yes, indeed, we need J.C. Watts! (Pinging a few friends - can you help?)
To: Tuco-bad
Are you ever right about anything?
To: MindBender26
bump--great post!
To: MindBender26
Calling now, at least to thank him. I hope he changes his mind.

Personally, I'd love to see JC Watts on a Presidential ticket in 2008. This is the kind of leader that this country needs!
Semper Fi!

Since he has an ACU rating of 97 and an ADA rating of ZERO, you are quite wrong. Sorry we couldn't elect Heinrich Himmler for you.
To: Tuco-bad
Yeah dummy, ACU of 97 and 0 from the ADA is what RINO's are made up of.
Why don't you keep your promise, scumbag, and leave the forum.

One more thing, since the REPUBLICAN members of the House elected him their political leader (Conference Chairman) I think they would disagree with you.
To: Freedom'sWorthIt
It would be a real shame to see JC go. He's desperately needed in the House and he's pretty good on TV too.

Good post but is this truly breaking news?
To: Freedom'sWorthIt
Thank you, keep it up!

We do need JC in the Congress. However, we don't need the overweight Crusader. JC's protecting his constituent pork, and that's exactly what he's supposed to do.

I must take a very strong issue with the comment that the Crusader was "needed". There are much better investments available to the military and if he quits the Congress over that issue, he's not much of a man in my book. The Crusader was a boondoggle, just like the Osprey. And instead of improving and modernizing existing proven systems, our 465 Generals who compromise the JCS in their minds working with the rentagenerals in the Pentagon are just trying to gouge us some more. There are new weapon systems available. They just want to line their pockets by creating new, un-needed ones.

Thank you.

I understand you comment, but if he announced this weekend that he is gone, that will be very big, and very bad, news.
