Six Killed in Van Crash; 33 Illegal Immigrants Were on Board

SAN DIEGO — A van carrying 27 illegal immigrants smashed head-on into two other vehicles as it went the wrong way on an interstate with its headlights off, apparently in an attempt by the driver to avoid an immigration checkpoint. Six people were killed and 31 injured.
Loaded with immigrants from Mexico and Brazil, the Dodge van sideswiped two cars and then collided with a Ford Explorer about 15 miles north of the Mexican border Monday night, the California Highway patrol said.
The Explorer flew over a guardrail and down an embankment, killing driver Larry S. Baca, 50, of Albuquerque, N.M. The van then crashed head-on with a Toyota van.
The driver of the Dodge van and four passengers were killed, the Highway Patrol said. Their identities were not known since most people in the van did not have identification, Officer Steve Lopez said.
Thirty-one people, most suffering minor injuries, were taken to hospitals. One woman remained in serious condition Tuesday.
The remote area, about 45 miles east of San Diego, is commonly used by smugglers driving vehicles crammed with illegal immigrants.
The Border Patrol maintains a checkpoint on the highway, Interstate 8, about three miles from the accident site.
Wait til the Mexican trucks start lumbering around the U.S. with their 140,000 lb loads and 18yr old drivers who grew up on the 'Anything Goes' Mexican highways.
Excuse me Pres Bush, but Karl Rove is a FOOL if he's telling you this homogenization with Mexico will work ... and you sir, are a fool if you believe him.

As for the illegals? I can't say anthing at this moment, because I am so angry. Bush, congress, please do your duty in protecting us, and close the borders!
How many illegal immigrants were in the van, 27 or 33?
The answer is obvious. Those immigration checkpoints have to go. Look at the needless loss of life and serious injuries that they cause.

Where did this happen in Washington State? I spent alot of time down there in the '80's.
We sure have load of Illegals up here in AK. Summer seasonal work in fishing (and general labor) is simply not available for college students and/or white males anymore.
The new thing for Illegals here in Anc is that they quickly sign up for student loans & Pell Grants at UAA (staffed entirely by Liberal Bureaucrats) and get a college education at taxpayer expense.
I used to live next door to this guy from Chile who came up in '92 on a student visa, and got his degree in '98. He married another foreign student from Japan and they immediately had their 'Anchor Baby'. He then took one of those jobs that Americans either don't want, or are too lazy to work ... as a Flight Instructor out at Merrill Field.
IMO 'Globalist' Rove is still a fool.
