Subject: Re: Colorado Fires Update from Cindy Jacobs

This is an update on the Durango Missionary Ridge Fire:

As I sit here another fire has developed north of Durango about 3 miles. On the west side of the mountain. This is a totally different fire!

The Missionary Ridge Fire has already come down on the east side of the mountain in many areas and burned homes. Both of the lakes in our area are dry and the fire has burned around the lakes except for Diamond Lodge, a Christian training Center at Lemon Dam and another Christian youth camp at Vallecito Reservoir.

These both were clearly the hand of our Mighty God in action as everything was burned up all around them. At one point the flames were licking 1000 feet into the air and coming at Diamond Lodge.

Someone had received a word from our God to take authority over the fire. As the fire came up over the mountain all but one of the firefighters fled.

The team of intercessors/workers at Diamond Lodge
watched
and a man out of the team
stepped forward and rebuked the fire
and it was just snuffed out,
literally snuffed out!!
Like a big hand came down
and covered it
and it never lit back up.
Hallelujah.

[Q NOTE: ONE CAN ARGUE WITH IDEAS AND OPINIONS. THIS IS AN EXPERIENCE. THOSE WHO HAD THE EXPERIENCE WILL NEVER BE SWAYED BY MERE ARGUMENTS. . . I experienced God protect our humble hovel of a hut from the whirling sheet iron. These people SAW, EXPERIENCED something just as dramatic]

I have heard of two Christian people's homes where the flames came right up to the homes and then just turned back around, one of the homes it came within 5 feet in one area and the other it was 50 feet.

Anyway, the beautiful Animas Valley sits in the middle of these two fires. (Animas is Spanish for soul) They are currently hurriedly evacuating many people from this new fire. They say it is a "big one" and very volatile.

This is also an area of Colorado in which the Lord has been giving many prophetic words about raising up. I know that Dutch Sheets and a team have been down here a couple of years ago and prophesied and prayed.

Our river that runs through our valley is called the rio des las animas perdidos which means river of lost souls. We did have a prayer session in one of our local parks at noon last Thursday. Many people attended. We prayed for rain and by Friday we received some rain which put a dent in the fire, but it is again raging.

Please pray for us here. Thank you.

In Him, Linda Conner

I don't know that Cindy Jacobs is as humble as God might like her yet and I realize she's not been flawless. But I still believe she's a woman of God. In any case, this is just a news item with some interesting supernatural phenomena. I've personally been in such a situation and experienced just such a happening and it was surreal with spiritual electricity type sensations in the air. I felt Holy Spirit was there. In any case, these situations sound very similar to what I experienced as I watched God protect a hut of a house from a twister full of sheet metal.

Some folks believe that exageration betters a tale; others are content with the truth.

Wow.

I had a much smaller but exactly the same miracle happen in my office when it burned in the early 1980's. Apparently some wiring was defective and at 6 AM one work day (before people arrived to work), a spontaneous combustion fire erupted, reaching about 2000 degrees F, racing from the far end of my office's wing toward my desk, melting the fire alarms. Fire crews stopped the fire at all three sides of my desk. Not one thing I had on my desk burned even though the fire burned past my desk. With all the water sprayed into the fire, I had absolutely no water damage to my things. My files were the only ones not destroyed. Even papers I'd been working on the night before were left sitting intact, a little scorched at the edges.

The building manager, a friend of mine and a Christian, told me what it was like walking into the ruined mess when civilians were allowed in. He said, "We came around the corner, into this awful mess of hanging wires, melted desks, destruction everywhere, and there was your desk, sitting perfectly upright. All alone."

Word spread fast through the large office building. Lots of people came to me afterwards and said, "Are you the lady whose desk didn't burn? Can I touch you? You must live right." I knew it was the hand of God. He kept giving me the verse about walking through the fire and not having the smell of smoke on you -- my desk was so close to the hot point of the fire that my things were not only the last thing not to burn, they were the only things that didn't reek of smoke. The office beyond mine was awash in grimy, oily smoke residue.

I don't know why He spared my things but I do know He did it -- it was no fluke.

Were YOU there?

In some box canyons with fairly steep cliffs; even some not so boxed canyons with fairly steep cliffs but curved and sloped just right with plenty of big trees and dry kindling and the right winds--1,000' into the are would be easily achieved.

AMEN, AMEN AND AMEN!!!

It's wonderful to serve a LIVING ALMIGHTY GOD who's altogether good; altogeher Loving--good all the time and all the time good. . . whether we can see it and register it at the time, or not.

It's sad that you've never had such an experience.

In my observations, God RARELY gives skeptics such experiences.

However, I believe He will be changing His major SOP in such regards and will be giving the whole world MANY demonstrations of His miraculous powers. . . especially in behalf of those who Love and earnestly try to follow and obey Him.

He prefers to leave enough room for doubt that people have genuine free will and must approach Him in FAITH.

But these are special times. He will be doing special things.

I don't mind TRADING facts.

I suspect your facts are easier for me to take than my facts are for you to take.

I suspect NOT.

Except in the sense that the reason(s) you have such a difficult time accepting a supernatural phenomenon at the hand of Almighty God is most likely related to the fact that you've never experienced such first hand.

Your frame of reference is limited.

It tends to yield flawed analysis and flawed conclusions.

My frames of reference here are the posted words:

Both of the lakes in our area are dry and the fire has burned around the lakes except for Diamond Lodge, a Christian training Center at Lemon Dam and another Christian youth camp at Vallecito Reservoir.

These both were clearly the hand of our Mighty God in action as everything was burned up all around them

versus the reality of how small a percentage of structures were destroyed by the fire. For example, the Vallecito Chamber of Commerce states on their web site:

The Vallecito Lake Chamber of Commerce members wish to express our heart felt thanks to all of you who have expressed your concern in sympathy in light of the forest fire in our area.

We are grateful that the business areas suffered minimal damage and we are anxious to return to our prospective homes and businesses. As soon as all utilities are restored, we expect to be able to welcome you and your family and home [sic] that those of you with reservations in the near future will continue with your plan to vacation here.

Feel free to contact our chamber office at (970) 247-1573 for updates and/ or please attempt to contact individual business members by phone.

Have you been to the Vallecito Resevoir?

It might help your persepective.

I grew up going there on many weekends and holidays.

I've also heard from My Dad and others with observations not exactly colored by the Chamer of Commerce's need to minimize things.
