My experience working with IT people from many different countries has been that many immigrants (particularly those not coming from Western Europe) have a poor understanding of the way that Americans do business and aren't particularly innovative in their business solutions.
I attribute the shortcomings from a lack of interest in learning American culture and American capitalism, things immigrants used to be intensly interested in and worked very hard for. Of course if I could move to a country with little effort and increase my standard of living in a short time without working hard for it, I probably wouldn't struggle to fit in either.

You're just scared because they are smarter and better than you.So why don't they get paid as much? Oh yeah, the H1B visa is a scammacious way for US companies to pay less than market rates.

You idiots need to make up your minds - are you hostile to Indians and Indian-Americans, or would you rather treat them with the fucking respect they deserve as a great and honorable race of people who have by and large contributed to this world in an extremely positive way, including your ability to scrawl your racist and useless garbage on these boards (remember Indians dominate Information Technology). Non American Indians are products of the caste system, the import of their privileged classes should stop and our tax system must be changed to eliminate these intruders.

Remember that H1-B visa holders aren't immigrants. They're short-time visitors who are here to get a bunch of money and take it and any expertise they've gained out of the country with them. If they don't fit in, it's because they don't in the long run have to.

Blah, blah, blah. Keep trying to control the economy and keep chanting "workers of the world unite." Ad hominem attack. Pretty lame.

They bring some expertise in. However, while here they gain a lot more, as well as gaining experience. They also drain money out of the economy. An H1-B visa holder does not expect to be in the U.S.A. forever, so they don't assimilate. In many cases, they use as little money as possible, and send most of it out of the U.S.A. to their home country.
People who come here on a short-term basis from other countries with much lower living standards accept lower wages than native-born Americans. Thus, their presence depresses wages in the industries they work in.
