Mueller in Keynote Controversy (Addresses American Muslim Council)

FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III is coming under fire from some conservatives for agreeing to deliver a keynote address this week to the American Muslim Council, a group whose founder has declared support for the Hamas and Hezbollah militant groups.

The council, which is holding a four-day convention in Alexandria that begins Thursday, also has urged members to contribute to two charities, the Holy Land Foundation and the Global Relief Foundation, whose assets have been frozen by the Bush administration for alleged ties to terrorists.

The Clinton administration also courted the American Muslim Council by meeting with them in the WHite House around the time of the OKC bombing in 1995. Kenneth Timmerman of Insight magazine wrote several articles connecting the American Muslim COuncil members to support terrorism and also donating heavily to Clinton and Gore.

These same people were connected to Holy Land Foundation including Khalid Mahfouz, a wealthy Saudi business partner and donar for GW Bush. Mahfouz has backed Hamas and AlQaeda activities incliding the bombing of the USS COle.

GW Bush lawyers Akin and Gump also were the attorneys for the Holy Land Foundation and Infocom in Dallas. These organizations both were using the internet to funnel money to Hamas, Iraq and ALQaeda when InfoCom was shut down by an FBI raid on September 5, 2001 just before the 9/11 attacks. I wonder if the FBI learned anymore about the 9/11 attacks from the InfoCOm raid in Dallas?

The FBI still is allowing Hamas to operate in OKC so the FBI can continue to follow Hamas operatives. The state Department and DOJ have told the FBI that the FBI is not to take actions in OKC against HAmas that might make it appear that Hamas is being persecuted for religious reasons and upset sensitive Middle East peace negotiations with the Saudis and other Islamic Arabs.

I find this policy, which has been followed by Clinton and Bush, to be objectionable because it puts Oklahoman and American citizens at risk from terrorist attack. It is believed that the 1993 WTC attacks, the 1995 OKC bombing and the 9/11 attacks were all assisted by Hamas groups in OKC.

Hamas is a terrorist organization. Hamas members are not freedom fighters and Hamas followers who say they are Islamicists are not for peace in spite of what GW Bush, Colin Powell and the Saudis have tried to claim in recent months. Hamas in OKC should be broken up and its members should be deported or arrested.

I have found it very difficult to believe that given the amount of people in these groups in and around OKC in the 90's,that Mcviegh and Nichols,two boobs, acted on thier own hook when they blew up the Murrah Bldg.

That's Joe Farah's point. In fact to this day the government has refused to acknowledge a possible Middle Eastern connection to the OKC bombing. They executed Timothy McVeigh in part to make sure he couldn't reveal anything that might embarrass them. No one is saying McVeigh was innocent but in view of what we know now one can make a good case radical Muslims were active in much of America way before 2001. And how many warning signs were overlooked, discounted, ignored, or dismissed because it didn't fit the FBI's preconceived "Christians are the real terrorists" template back then. You gotta wonder.

For me its even simpler than that. Mcviegh was caught hours after the bombing. They way those two(Nichols and Mcvigh) did it,Inspector Closeau would have caught them. I just dont believe two twits like these are smart enough to even grasp the right wing mantra and anti government rhetoric, the Xlinton administration pounced upon right after the bombing. Just my opinion.

It should also be constantly remembered that the Arab ties are significant to the Bush business interests. That has been posted repeatedly. The FBI WILL protect the politicians money involvements at all costs, even if the cost is to appear stupid. The best example is the denial of M.E. involvement in OKC. Another is the much verified Saudi origins of the WTC murders.

Oh, God Lord, man... McVeigh was selling copies of The Turner Diaries at gun shows, visiting racist compounds like Elohim City, etc, etc. I too believe that a colusion with some other group or individual is at least a possibility, but the notion that McVeigh was a dupe who didn't really understand what was going on, or didn't have his own motivation, just doesn't fly.

I just think the bubmbling displayed by those two,would lead one to conclude that they HAD to have help. Yes I know Mcviegh did all of those things. But he should have known a 10 year old clunker up I-35 right after the bombing would be stopped,but he drove illegally,with a GUN IN PLAIN VIEW to the OK trooper who stopped him. As radically anti-government as he was purported to be, he should have know law enforcement policies would be in that situation. Hell,I know them,and Im a law abiding citizen. He was caught too easily for someone who hung out at gunshows,places like Elohim City,etc. Those people are paranoid by nature.They would have known how to avoid the cops. I stand by my assesment.
