Interesting that whenever Bush or someone in his administration says something the Palestinians don't like, they say, "The President of the United States has no right to tell us what to do."

Mr. Kanafani, defending Arafat: "No one in the world can stop the violence."
Then he says Sharon must stop the violence by withdrawing his tanks.

Keyes: Bush's call for institution-building as a prerequisite to self-government was well articulated in the speech.

Francis Bok: I was a slave in sudan for ten years.
Sudanese ambassador: we are focusing on the war, not on slavery (doubts slavery is currently practiced in Sudan)

Thanks for filling me in.
It's amazing how much a nation's government contributes to its ills--intentionally, or not.

The fate of all tyrants - the road to hell is layed with good intentions. The communists psalm "Internationale" words were - "first we will destroy everything of the current order and then we will build a new future".
They do excel at destroying... Conservatives like changes too - but they test them first and take what works..
In USA liberals keep saying this is wrong and that is wrong...; structure after structure is being dismantled, from family and schools to courts and religion.
To liberals the sweet part is effecting other people's life - this justifies their being on earth.

The communists psalm "Internationale" words were - "first we will destroy everything of the current order and then we will build a new future". Liberals get bad ideas accepted by using such terminology to give the appearance of freshness and newness: "progressivism," FDRs "New Deal," etc.
And they paint the ideas of our founding as antiquated, as not fitting with "the times."
But truth is timeless.
