(CNSNews.com) - As the worst wildfire in Arizona history looks ready to consume the town of Show Low, Arizona Gov. Jane Hull is blaming poor forest management for the disaster. "I know this country and I have never seen anything like this fire," Hull said on Sunday. "Mother Nature is saying to Arizona, to the West, that we have to clean up these forests. I hope the message gets across that we need to clean these forests." Forests in Arizona, Colorado and other western states are full of dead wood and underbrush, the result of policies that dictate the immediate suppression of all forest fires. Instead of burning periodically, the underbrush has accumulated to the point where firefighters are helpless to stop the flames. On top of that, some critics blame environmentalists for blocking timber harvests. More fuel equals more flames. In Arizona, where two wildfires have now merged, some 322,000 acres have burned since last Tuesday and about 180 homes have been destroyed. Eight thousand people in Show Low have fled their homes. As of Monday morning, heavy ash fell on the town, where the first house to burn was owned by a firefighter, wire services reported.

Mother Nature is saying to Arizona, to the West, that we have to clean up these forests. I hear trees talking to me....voices in the forest!

Out of curiosity, have the greenies come out with any comment(s) about these fires? Reading these articles has been too painful for me so I may have missed something. Thus far, they seem to be very quiet about these disasters. Thank you.

We can chalk this up another black mark against the clinton/gore legacy!

This is not exactly what the Governor said. I saw her 2 minutes ago on Fox News, and she BLASTED the sierra club/greenpeace/etc, saying that they SHARE RESPONSIBILITY for this. It is their lawsuits to prevent logging that are the root cause.
They saved one spotted owl for 2 years by preventing logging, but they just killed dozens or hundreds now (along with many other ticks, flies, rodents, etc., that they literally love to their deaths)

Thanks for the update! I just saw a clip of her on our local news here in OKC and I thought she was livid. She is so right!

Golly Moses! What does PETA say about the thousands of animals that are being fried courtesy of the Sierra Club, the Forest Service and other whacos? I read today that the Forest Service "rescued" a poor little Bambi fawn whose mommy took off and left him to bake in the Arizona fires. Here is the FS claiming they saved Bambi, but failed to save hundreds of human homes burned to the ground.
The fires that nearly wiped out all of the magnificent pines around the North Rim of Grand Canyon were allowed to burn and did so very well as the forest was is full of dead trees, brush and other fuels, all left there as it was "natures way to manage forests" (so says the copy on the signs the FS put up around the desolated forests). These people are absolutely under the control of the weirdo environmentalists and they are destroying forests big time. Where are the other politicians from the West? Are they blind? No, they are also in bed with the whacos. It's all about votes and they know that their kids and grandkids have been and still are being brain-washed at school and college by dedicated green teachers.

Glad to hear it. It's long past time for some major
backlash against the irresponsible idiots that have
kept us from properly managing the forests.
