A favorite liberal trick is to always call any proposed reduction in the rate of growth of spending a "cut." This implies that some people will end up with less than they are getting now, when in fact they will get more, just not as much more as they would get without the so-called "cut."

Merely cutting the rate of spending is NOT the same as actually cutting it. The various proposals under consideration in Washington would merely spent a percentage or two less on Medicare than the Rats want. And yet they call this a "cut" to frighten the geezer folks. People outside the beltway have NO idea what a real cut in government spending would be like. And Republicans won't propose one both because the Rats would fight it tooth and nail and no Republican wants to be accused of hurting grandpa and grandma in their pocketbook. The last thing Republicans want is to be outmanuevered by the Rats like they were in the government shutdown back in 1996.

Funny, but asking for a "freeze" in spending seems more palatable to the press (thus to the public!) than a "reduction in increase" ....
Shows how stupid the lberal ranting actually is.
And how biased (ignorant) the press is with respect to the dnc's "fax reports"
