Israeli troops arrested a senior member of Fatah movement on Saturday, the group said in a statement.
Mohammad Lutfi, also known as Abu Lutfi, was taken from his house in Beitunia, southwest of Ramallah, the statement said.
Lutfi is a member of Fatah's revolutionary council, as well as secretary general of the group's West Bank operations and director of the Palestinian interior ministry, AFP reported.
"As part of its offensive against the political and secular leaders of Fatah and its plots aimed at ending the noble Palestinian intifada (uprising), the Israeli occupation forces abducted Abu Lutfi," the statement said.
Fatah denounced the arrest and called for Abu Lutfi's "immediate release", warning Israel of harming him.
"We warn Israel against any harm to his life or the lives of any of the prisoners in its jails, and we confirm that the (Fatah) movement will continue to resist to occupation, until liberation and independence," it said.
So killing civilians is considered as noble? And people believe they deserve a state?
No a STAKE!

RAMALLAH, West Bank, June 22 (AFP) - Israeli troops abducted a senior member of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement on Saturday, but released him shortly afterwards, Palestinian sources close to Fatah told AFP.
Mohammad Lutfi, known as Abu Lutfi, was taken from his home in Beitunia, southwest of the West Bank town of Ramallah, a statement released by Fatah said earlier.
But Lutfi was freed by Israeli troops some six hours later close to where he was arrested, the sources said.
Lutfi is a member of Fatah 's revolutionary council, as well as secretary general of the group's West Bank operations and director of the Palestinian interior ministry.
Fatah earlier denounced the arrest and called for Abu Lutfi's "immediate release", warning Israel against harming him.
"We warn Israel against any harm to his life or the lives of any of the prisoners in its jails, and we confirm that the ( Fatah ) movement will continue to resist to occupation, until liberation and independence," the group said in the statement.

Gee, it would be terrible if his buddies thought so wouldn't it? They should probably put out a press release right away say that Mohammad Abu Lutfi said absolutely nothing about any new arms shipments being smuggled into the West Bank so no one could possibly think that of him.

LOL, I don't think they even have to bother to put out a press release. Letting the guy go that quickly says it all.
