CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. -- Bill Clinton's new dog, a successor to the late, lamented Buddy, has joined the former president in Chappaqua.

The arrival of Seamus, a chocolate Labrador retriever like Buddy, was a Father's Day surprise courtesy of Clinton's wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, said the senator's spokesman, Jim Kennedy.

"He was surprised with the dog when he woke up on Father's Day," Kennedy said. "The dog helped wake him up."

Well, now Clinton that has a new friend with better morals than him, maybe his character will improve. Seamus will certainly have more control of his mating impulse than Bubba. Now if Hillary could get a doggie. ..parsy

Okay, I wish Bill and his new friend a happy future together. Even a guy like Clinton deserves a buddy who will love him no matter what.

"by far the worst thing" to happen to him after leaving office. "

This is to imply that his leaving office was one of the worst things that has ever happened to him. Do I feel sorry for him? Gee....let me think about that.....NOT! I only feel sorry for any pet that enters this wretched household.

Sadly, it is more likely that Klintoon will corrupt the poor dog beyond redemption.

Buddy, Clinton's White House dog, was killed by a car in Chappaqua in January. The ex-president said the accident was "by far the worst thing" to happen to him after leaving office.

For a guy that should be behind bars, or at the end of a rope, this is as close to the truth I think I have ever seen from him.

I sometimes wonder about fellow "breeders".

The very first thing that we require of puppy buyers is a SAFE FACILITY (fences and that kind of thing).

I would probably not decline a second purchase of a puppy in most cases, but I sure would want to know how any "automobile had the opportunity" to kill the first one.

But then, we have a return at any age clause ... and do not allow any of ours to even go to new owners without consultation about a "new" owner's suitability as dog owners.

We have a clause of habitual carelessness as a cause for bringing a lawsuit if the dog is found to be in a situation, such as rescue, without strong evidence that the dog is/was properly taken care of by the buyer!

I would say that Clinton is an unfit person -- which could very well make him an unfit animal owner! He surely is habitually careless in all respects!

Considering what happened to Seamus' predecessors, I wonder if the Clintons have taken out a large life insurance policy on their current canine (no, not Chelsea!).

Too tacky to start predicting dates for the next Clinton Barkancide?

I say Shame-Us gets offed in August of 2006, in time for Hitlary Clinton's senatorial re-election bid.
