President Bush headed to Florida today to attend a fundraiser for his brother, Gov. Jeb Bush. While in Florida, Bush visited Marks Street Senior Center in Orlando, and spoke once again about physical fitness and addressed the homicide bombings in Israel. The President also attended a senior fitness class while at the Marks Street Center. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Freedom I wanted to thank you for your steadfastness. And too all those I have emailed or freepmailed for solace when the going got tough.
Hopefully terror will take a holiday and allow all of us a time to catch our breath and bring sanity back.
I have learned so much from so many. I'm not a mover or shaker in the world of politics. Just a mom and wife whose only desire is that I may homeschool my children and teach them a love for this great country.
I'm thankful that even though I'm not a mover or shaker, Jim Robinson and his family has given me an outlet to speak my ideas and opinions to the world about issues that concern me. And to reach out to others that have that same desire.
It's good to be alive and thank God it's Friday.

I decided I do get plenty of exercise! I garden by the hours around here. I have so many plants that it takes me half the day at least just to get them all watered, then there is the deadheading, weeding, Etc.
Whew, I feel better now! :>)

My goodness that's a huge plane. It must be able to house the full White House if necessary.

By the time I found your special thread today, it was hovering around 500 replies. But I finally got some help with the outside work today and I had to go out and act like *I* was working too. I must have put on a pretty good act, because I actually got some stuff done.
Your thank-you thread is a great idea and good reading. I'll have to keep going back to it until I get to the end.
In the meantime, you said you didn't want compliments for yourself, which makes is very hard on us here on the dose. I happened to mention on the tail end of yesterday's dose that this thread had produced SO MANY well-informed people who keep us all on our toes policy wise. It's so easy to get discouraged with the Bush Bashers and the Dose keeps our spirits soaring. Thank you.

You're very kind. "not a mover or a shaker".....just a wife and a mom.....!!!!
But the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world!
Yes, Jim Robinson and his family have given our world this great gift that is Free Republic where we can connect with others who love this country and its ideals as much as we do! What a joy!
Don't worry - your devotion to bringing up your children right and truly educated - and loving our country - is the foundational rock that keeps our hopes alive for this country. I think homeschooled children are America's great hope.

All of the Psalms are wonderful, but this one is especially fitting don't you think for this time in our history? Thanks so much for doing this for this all of the time.
The Psalms have gotten me through some pretty rough times. David is my favorite Bible people and I can't wait to meet him some day!

"FREEDOM NEEDS AMERICA!" Without America - I truly believe freedom will be snuffed out in the world - as we are God's gift of the light of freedom for all of history. That is why I believe at times America is under seige from within. There are those of the Islamic backgrown, and now blacks and reperations, and another being the Mexican talk of wanting land back.
This is definately orchestrated. My prayer is that those within our borders that is strategizing America's downfall will be shown for who they are, and the courage for those in positions to do something about it will rise up.

Hi, there. Very glad you liked the Psalm of today (Psalm 18, Part III). Yes, every single Psalm just fits in with today's events. We can read the Psalms and then read the Newspapers - and see God at work today much as He was at work in David's time.
David was surrounded by so many enemies. And he was not a "perfect" man. But, like you, I enjoy so much reading about him because He was Israel's warrior King. Yet he had a heart for God.....much like our President today does....
And, yes, God is our deliverer - and He is with the downhearted, the brokenhearted, the humble, and the poor. But He will bring down into the dust the wicked, those who love killing of innocents, those who spend their time devising devilish traps for the 'righteous'. God hates the haughty and the proud, and the oppressors of this world.
In His name, one day, all oppression shall cease. President Bush quoted those words from "O Holy Night" and I believe prays for and works for the end of oppression around the world every day. To love God is to love to see the oppressed lifted up and the enslaved set free!

"Cunningham also said that Rush was like the sphinx and his
followers were the disciples.
Now that is just damn scary."
Sounds to me as though he was buttering up Rush so he'd give him more gigs on radio. I'm also not fond of another Rush replacement, Walter Williams, who claims his only concern is the Constitution and Bush is trampling on it. SHEESH!

You must live up north somewhere. I'm in MO and would love to tend my flowers but we've been having a serious heat wave. In the ninties today. I swear I'm going to start spending June, July and Sept. up north somewhere. Getting too old for this weather plus allergies.

Well, yes, agreed. America's enemies are not only the terrorists without but also those who are "within the gates". The Mexican bluster about wanting part of the United States is just that, bluster. But, yes, we do have to be vigilant. And we have to work to bring back lawfulness to the immigration process - it is way out of control. And, yes, there are no doubt Islamic terrorist cells in this country plotting to do us more harm.
The thing they must understand is that President Bush is a man of action, not just words....and any attempt to harm Americans will be met with quick, decisive force. We must pray they understand this and pray that we also do what VP Cheney said - kill them before they try to kill us!

I don't know about Rush getting food poisoning. When he announced a week ago Wednesday that he'd be taking a couple of days off w/o saying why, I kinda wondered if he was going back to CA for a checkup on his ear operation. And then he stayed off for the entire next week as well. He sure didn't have food poisoning on the last show he did, or he would NOT have been there that day. And, yes, he could have gotten the food poisoning after that, but somehow I think there's more to it than that.

44As soon as they hear of me they obey me; The foreigners submit to me. 45The foreigners fade away, And come frightened from their hideouts. This surely speaks to the Gulf War also -- when we dropped those thunderous bombs (daisy cutters?) incessantly, till the Iraqis came out of their holes to surrender by the thousands.
Thanks, FWI, for doing this and helping to set a spiritual direction into a lovely thread. It does more good than we will know, any of us, while we remain on this earth, but one day the full effect and import of it will be known.
