Kudos to Fox News!

After watching the news the past week I have felt I need to get something off my back. Fox News is completely superior to CNN.

Some people might remember me on this board bashing Fox News for their bad news coverage, even though their analysis programs are great.

I've completely changed my mind. Fox have been professional, effective, accurate and fast this week in reporting news. For example they've reported on terrorism threats, the arab terrorism in Israel, the Smart abduction and others.

On the other hand CNN has been innacurate and sluggish. They leaked NSA intercepts and tried to ignore the bombings in Jerusalem. When these horrible events happened Fox were right on the scene, while CNN were yapping on about something inconsequential. Also CNN had to face the embarrasment of having creator Turner bash Israel, and have to read his comments and retractions on air.

Also CNN has spent way more time than Fox News on the Smart abduction, which reminds of the days of the Levy case when it was reverse and Fox spent more time.

I don't want to slight the suffering of the Smart's but IMHO this case doesn't deserve 8 straight hours of "breaking news" on how some transient who may or may not know anything was picked up on the east coast.

I've always felt that CNN covered news much better than Fox, while Fox was superior in analysis programs but this is not true anymore. In today's world, where we are all just as vulnerable as we were on September 10th, I get much better informed flipping on Fox for half and hour than CNN.

Oh my, I thought I was the only Republican in Chicago

I always thought that the only Republican in Chicago was the one vote denied in the Calvary and Union cemetary districts by the Chicago Elections Board.

I rarely tune into CNN anymore.

Fox is my station of choice. I'd like to see Carl Cameron concentrate on reporting on the Senate Judiciary Committee and the judicial appointment process. Nobody seems to be covering this item that means so much to our future as a Republic.

CNN uses things like the Smart abduction to fill up space since they DON'T want to report on other things, such as you mentioned.

What really puts a burr under my saddle is that internationally, CNN is the ONLY news people can see, other than their local news. And the CNN Internation channel is horrifyingly lame. Sugar coated news bytes, twisted, slanted, and lying through omission. They need to go down.

I don't even know what channel CNN is on. I rushed home on Jan 15 or 16, 1992 because I had inside info that the Iraq was going to get hit. Caught Nightly Business Report until the word got out. Then had CNN on for over a week, and was a Nielson ratings guy the whole time. Unfortunately, we really pushed CNN to the top, and I was not happy to do this, and even mentioned it to the person who called.

If you ever get a chance to be a Nielson rater, do it! They call and encourage you to fill out the form, and send money (not much) and stuff to remind you to fill out your book almost every day. If it was any other week I would have screwed CNN and ABC to the max.

Fox is no better than CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, or any other network. If CNN was the Democrats channel, Fox is the Republican Channel. MSNBC just doesn't have a clue. However, they are all the same. As far as the NSA leak is concerned, Fox and Cameron have done the same in the past. There is one such fact in life. You cannot trust the press. You maybe able to trust some reporters as stand alones but as an organization, they are all the same. Heck many of these guys once worked for they're competition. They job shop like whores. One day Paula is here, the next she is with the comp. One day Greta is there the next she is with the comp. It’s all the same. With Very few exceptions.

But your right about one thing Fox's Analysis is better, but as a news organization it's terrible. CNN is excellent in news, As far as analysis is concern. I rather hear the cartoon channel. MSNBC has the makings but it has no clue.

go into the penelty box for two minutes and feel contrite. Then come out and raise hell as a republican. Be proud and let the world know. You are a Republican.

And in Chicago get lynched by the machine.

I watch Fox News myself, but was furious when they "drew a diagram" for a terrorist attack on a nuclear power plant in NY state-and a few other exceptionally stupid stunts.

Being reasonably open to a Republican point of view is one thing, but endangering lives in the quest for ratings is quite another !

By the way, another network, the "beloved" CNN just< b> had to break the news that fighter jets, scrambled in response to a private plane straying too close to the White House, would not have gotten to the scene on time. As if that were not bad enough , they kept the story on their web site for a few days-( in case potential terrorists had not noticed it the first time around ???)

Hi ChicagoRepublican,

Sean and Allan is just about to talk about something else other News Media don't like. They are about to bring up Mexico wanting a couple of our Southwestern States back, check it out NOW!! Up till now, most hispanics deny this, but it will now be brought our for all to hear tonight!

I may be wrong but I think it is Arizona and Texas they want back, not sure, barely caught this.
