In plain English, what in the world is "Humane Letters"?? It sounds like a liberal arts degree.

Chapman President James L. Doti will present the degree to the former Mr. Universe

For the record, Arnold was seven time winner of the Olympia.

Yes Arnold is the former Mr. Universe, but he went on to achieve the highest honor in bodybuilding, which was to win the Mr. Olympia. And he did that seven times.

Fortunately his wife can read it to him.

He needs no help reading. I met Arnold many years ago when he was promoting the first book he wrote with Doug Hall. While his english at that time may not have been excellent, he was no dummy. He provided the content for the book, like several of his other books.

Nobody knew who he was but he attracted a crowd even back then. And was just a wonderful guy. Not as tall as you would think but huge. He looks much different physically today.

You might do a little research on a person before you make such a remark. He has made a mint in the real estate business in CA and in other ventures. He came to the states with very little money. He made his money on his own and has done very well in the entertainment industry. A tough business that was tougher for a guy who's English was not all that good at first.

Arnold is smart and tough and conservative. And nobody is needed to "read to him". In his native language or any of the other languages he speaks.

One quibble...

Arnold has said he is a fiscal conservative and a social liberal.

I`m betting we won`t see this when the credits roll after his movies. As opposed to Bill Cosby, who`s degree is also honorary. He brandishes those extra letters like he actually earned them.

Correct me please if I am mistaken.

Hey, Im with you on Arnold. He is no stiff. I wish he had run for Governor. It would have made for some very interesting debates between the Terminator and Davi$ the SurPlus ExTerminator...

He has lasted a long time in Hollywood, he must have taken note of Charlton Heston's career.

I wish James Woods would make a run for something.
