The U.S. soccer team made America proud on Monday with their stunning 2-0 victory over Mexico at the World Cup in South Korea. The Mexicans, though, showed no class or sportsmanship.
After the game, the Mexican team left the field without the traditional shirt exchanges and handshakes. Mexican fans shouted and taunted American fans and the American team.
An AP story reported that Mexicans at cafes and bars in Mexico City "screamed obscenities at the Star-Spangled Banner" and displayed "resentment" at America.
The U.S. embassy was closed Monday and security tightened in anticipation of possible riots by angry Mexicans. But is this reaction surprising? Not really.
Arrogance and a hatred of America are deep-seeded sentiments of the majority of the Mexican people.
Consider a recent Zogby poll of Mexicans which found that 58% believe that the U.S. Southwest belongs to them, and 57% approved of entering the U.S. illegally !

Hate-baiting is a profitable industry.
P.S. The Embassy closure and security precautions went just about like Y2K and the recent air-threat "closure" in D.C. Damn boring.
I can find polls that show a majority of Southern Baptists believe the viennese waltz is a personification of the Devil.
My Mexican friends, on both sides of the border, cheered every good play from either team. We had a great party, friendly, courteous, good vibes.
This morning we all were in my house, and a general trend was "...damn, since you guys beat us we wanted you to go all the way!"
However, the reputation for FreeRepublic being to home to ethnic, religious, and racial intolerance is monumental.
You children are fun to show to guests.
The person who says that the Mexicans shed no tears for 9//1 is WAY off base. I dont know any Mexican who didn't, they lost plenty of mexicans in that disaster too.
Are there some Mexicans who really hate this country? Sure, and that AZTLAN group, or whatever they call themselves, should have their whining little asses kicked. But it not neccessary to cast further aspersions on a people simply because you want to keep them out (as I do, the illegal ones).
In sports, the Mexicans in general show little class. One would expect such during a soccer match, but what is surprising is that even during a "high class" event like a tennis match, they show their true colors! I remember watching a Davis Cup match being held in Mexico. It was the Mexican Team vs the American team. The audience was totally off base! They jeered during service, and were just about out of control.. and these weren't your average Mexican either. Anyone who has been to a big Tennis match will tell you that it tends to attract a certain burgoise type...
The good news that day was the the American team cleaned up and shut their mouths.. very satisfying to watch.
No, they had already lost Texas ten years before. They lost Colorado, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.
Your post shows your true values. You are disgusting. Not a gentleman, and perhaps we can guess why you took so long to rocket to squad leader.
I hope everyone on the border, every co-worker, sees this display of your maturity.
The Korean audience booed while the German anthem was played before the US-Germany game.
Mexicans were slow to realize than in 10 years the US caught up with their soccer team - same like in the Mexican-US 1840 war.

I'm sorry, I don't respect the hypocritical third world nation to our south, but then I have allot more experience dealing with these hypocritical criminals than you do.
In court, your public predisposition towards the Mexican flag would be interesting to a defense attorney.
