China Continues to Arm Al Qaeda

Despite their own concerns about Islamic terrorism, Communist Chinese military officials have continued to arm Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda commandos with sophisticated surface-to-air missiles even after the 9-11 attacks on New York and Washington, D.C., according to U.S. intelligence reports.

"Late last month, U.S. Army Special Forces troops discovered 30 HN-5s, the designation for Chinese-made SA-7s surface-to-air missiles, in southeastern Afghanistan," reports the Washington Times in Friday editions. "Other intelligence reports indicated the Chinese shipped missiles to the Taliban after September 11."

Just last week a captured al Qaeda operative told interrogators that he had fired a surface-to-air missile at a U.S. military plane from a position just outside Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. The missile was a Chinese made SA-7, according to Pentagon sources.

Before Sept. 11, the People's Liberation Army provided training for Afghanistan's Taliban militia and its al Qaeda supporters, the Times added.

"It was carried out in cooperation with Pakistan's ISI intelligence service," defense officials told the paper.

Though Beijing has denied supporting al Qaeda forces, reports indicate that Chinese dictator Jiang Zemin was so impressed with bin Laden's 9-11 attack that he sanctioned a domestic propaganda effort suggesting the U.S. got what it deserved.

"In the immediate aftermath of the attacks, workers at Beijing Television worked round-the-clock to produce a documentary they called 'Attack America,'" reported the London Telegraph in November.

In the video, Chinese film editors mixed real news footage of the two commercial jetliners slamming into the World Trade Center with scenes from a 1998 remake of "Godzilla" where the monster wreaks havoc on New York.

As carnage fills the screen, the film's narrator proclaims that the city had reaped the consequences of decades of America bullying weaker nations.

The anti-U.S. entertainment bears the imprimatur of the Communist Party-controlled media, the Telegraph said, with the most popular offerings produced by the Xinhua information agency, Beijing Television and China Central Television.

"Communist Party officials say President Jiang Zemin has obsessively watched and re-watched pictures of the aircraft crashing into the World Trade Center," the Telegraph said. (See: Chinese Propaganda Machine Celebrates Twin Towers Attack)

Those 30 HN-5s likely were smuggled in through the border with our 'ally' Pakistan. Musharraf is either in cahoots with the Chinese still, or he is not in any control of those western provinces of Pakistan still. One would assume the latter, but I wonder.

It is time to call the Chinese on the carpet...and our duplicitous CEOs who are de-industrializing the U.S.of A. and building up our wanna-be enemy. E.g., There is a chairman of Motorola who deserves the firing squad, right along with Lucent's. My guess is that we'll never see it though. No President with the guts to weather either a recession as a result of cutting off of trade with the enemy, or the political firestorm of the politically-contributing 'heavy-hitters' demanding a free-hand to invest in our enemy, under the rubric of free trade.

If China is proven to be aiding terrorism, then the "Bush Doctrine" demands that move on to them after dealing with Iraq.

The Chinese will do whatever they can to destabilize us and abett our enemies. They will help them open up larger war scenarios if they can and ultimatley IMHO would be willing to form un-holy alliances with them ... if it hasn't already happened behind the scenes.

They will do this as duplicitly as possible at this point, hoping to continue to suck as much resourse, technology, manufacturing capability and money out of us as possible.

But the time will come when it will be out in the open. Probably after they use their surrogate NKoreans to open up a second front on us. Only then, when they feel thay are in a position to assume dominance in Asia and the Western Pacific and when they feel we are so dumbed down, down sized, watered down and otherise involved to be able to do anything about it, will they move overtly.

That is the whole premise of the series:

DRAGON'S FURY SERIES

A Series on the Coming Third World War

I would bet these missiles are not for a military conflict and that they are for airliners....

Yes, the Bush Doctrine, what is left of it after the humiliating capitulation to the Saudi's over Yasser Arafat (can you say THANK YOU, COLIN POWELL?) would call for moving on to them as they joined the axis of evil. But as I said, that won't happen...no matter how compelling the evidence. This is the same mindset of appeasement that said the Clintons and their croneys were just too big and scary to confront with the Rule of Law, so we just pretended they would go away and eventually die of excess wealth if we 'Moved On.'

Even though I am a Bush supporter, he has been so wishy washy on the War on Terror lately and has always been that way when dealing with China. Look for nothing to be done against China, I hate it but that's the way it is.

Pretty soon we will be dealing with Chinese made weapons on our own soil .... Do we wait until planes start falling out of the sky?

I heard a radio interview yesterday with a man who is an expert in terrorism. He says the Chinese are up to their necks in terrorism .... but they cleverly avoid publicity.

Think it is time to start blowing up a few of their arms shipments on the high seas .... Oops! It must be dangerous to ship high explosives on container ships .... KABOOOM!

I had the opportunity of privately talking this Saturday to noted local RINO money-bags George Pillsbury and going into some depths on national threat assessments, and the warnings of the knowledgeable Chinese dissidents, such as Harry Wu. It was apparently too much for him to take in. He said " I don't believe that." So I said to him, why should the American people believe you and a small number of plutocrats over such chinese dissidents who are well-informed, intelligent spokesman for liberty? These are men who have put it on the line and who sincerely fear for our national security? He just stammered with a little bit of fear, saying "I just can't believe that, it's too upsetting."

I said, c'mon George, this would not be the first time you were wrong, but possibly the worst time to be wrong. You can still make a difference, and we can still possibly avoid a world war...I know you have GWB's ear through Andrew Card. He said, "Their tired of hearing my views, telling them to go the center." I said, well look what your reverse-course centrism has gotten you, almost no platform for the President or his party to stand on now...and we are severely disarming while China arms. George then admitted that he was "really shocked when Jim Jeffords bolted the GOP for the democrats..... especially after all the money he had given him." I said to George, we conservatives saw that coming a mile away. You see, ideology...and the power to implement it... does matter to a lot of people more than money. And there are six more Fifth-columnists RINOs, republicans in name only, that we all know harbor the same inclinations as Jeffords. You know who they are as well as I. He did not dispute it. We need to encourage the super-rich folks to break out of their delusory day-dreams that are clearly wishful thinking.

China has always been a US enemy. Communist states always will be. Not sure why that is, but our worst non-muslim enemies at this point are all communist (China, Korea, Cuba). We should not lose sight of this menace, while battling the more immediate threat, muslim terrorists. Long term goals for the US should be to enhance our relationship with India and Russia, as bulwarks against China. Until China is a democracy, they will be a military threat. If the above article is accurate, in that Zemin is glad we were attacked and that we "bully" small nations for the hell of it, instead of when they merit it, then democracy is the only cure for that nation. (Might as well forget about "enlighted" communist leaders, as if there were such a thing). If they attacked their own people in Tiannamen Square, they most certainly have even less regard for us. We should be wary.....

Imagine the damage that would occur in China if the Three Gorges Dam were to be breached after its reservoir is filled.

Let them know we mean business. Though China may do all this big talk about "nuking the west coast" etc. it's time they learn we mean business and if there is this apparent support of alQaeda(which I'm sure there is), we need to warn them, if in one on one talks with their leaders, that there will be retalliation on China if al Qaeda uses any nukes, dirty bombs on our country provided them by China. Sure, China puts on a normal, friendly face when our gov't officials meet with them, but it's pretty obvious they are working for the destruction of the U.S. through providing the means to terrorists-aside from the fact it would come their way next for radical Islam. The terrorists use China/Russia for the time being in obtaining the weapons and then use the very weapons with their radical Islam loonies to spread it throughout the world. What the world fails to see when they celebrate the situation the U.S. is in right now is that they are next. These terrorists are about world domination, destruction. Hitler-esque. Though China may talk threatening at many times and seem eager to start a nuke war, I don't see the ChiComs being suicidal in the way the terrorists are and wanting to spend "life" in the madness of a concrete bunker, so we have that to work with. The U.S. needs to make it clear to them that they had better think again about providing nukes and other biological, chemical weapons to terrorists. We need to make that clear to anyone who thinks of a way to try to obviously undermine the U.S. will pay serious consequences so they better keep their "friends" in line. I hope Bush and his team make this clear to China with the way China is playing these games.

"...if there is this apparent support of alQaeda..."

That has to be the most disturbing thought of the day.Wow, wouldn't that turn out to be a darn mess? Well,if there is proof that Chinese arms are making it to countries that support terrorism, then it's completely on.And it should be "on" anyway.Jiang Zemin is on his way out and a new guy (Hu sombody)is coming into power in China shortly.

You summed that up PERFECTLY!!!! BUMP!!!!

Probably the majority of our government people feel this way. They don't care about facts. THEY REFUSE to accept facts.

If you find 50,000 machine guns in a Taliban hideout... and they are from a Chinese manufacturer... noooo, it absolutely WAS NOT the Chinese who sold them...

They are blinded by propaganda.

The real question is, how do they get to be the way they are...

First, they don't speak, read nor write Chinese. Then they go to China, and look at things with 'white eyes'...

In the end it boils down to, "wow, that guy in the hotel was so nice to me, therefore China is a great place..."

They base their whole assertations on nothing more than that...

China is notorious for kissing the right ass. They can terrorize the masses, but when a Congressman comes to visit, they all smile and shake hands...

The people who really get down and dirty and really see Chinese society from a deep level tend to see beyond the bull#$$%^.

The panda huggers are being played, and thats about all it boils down to.

I met some folks myself... they were almost personally offended at my analysis of China...

The will always counter with 'but I have been to China X number of times... and I never saw that...'

I too have met with this same naive trust of China. I submit that people over look China's flagrant human rights violations and even their proven aid to enemies of the United States because THEY HAVE INVESTMENTS AND INTERESTS IN CHINA. THEY PUT THEIR MONEY WHERE they thought they could reap the rewards. GREED and confliects of interests is a primary factor in why AMERICA's interests are not being put first.
Many Senators have investments in China. If anyone is interested in more information on this, let me know.
