AMERICAN BORDER PATROL A NEW INIATIVE FOR HOMELAND SECURITY

A NATION WITHOUT A BORDER IS NOT A NATION

President Reagan said, "A nation without a border is not a nation." Should America continue as an independent, sovereign nation? Every poll answers with a resounding YES! Americans want their border protected and, if necessary, they want the military to help. President Eisenhower stopped illegal immigration by enforcing our laws. President Bush could do the same thing.

WHY CAN¹T WE STOP THE INVASION? We are the most powerful nation on earth. Yet, we have been unable to stop millions of illegal aliens from crossing our borders. Why? Do we have enough Border Patrol Agents? If not, how many do we need? Don¹t we have the technology to detect people coming into the United States across barren land? If we do, why don¹t we use it? Should we build a fence like the Israelis are doing? How can they do it so fast?

AMERICAN BORDER PATROL TO THE RESCUE I have joined with Former Chief U.S. Border Patrol Agent Bill King and former Chief of the Tucson Sector of the Border Patrol, Ron Sanders, to form American Border Patrol. American Border Patrol will report from the border on a full-time basis. American Border Patrol (ABP) is an Arizona corporation. We have filed for IRS 501 c (3), tax-exempt, non-profit status.

ABP HEADQUARTERS ABP will be headquartered on a ranch on the Mexican border in southern Arizona (location restricted to insiders only). The ranch will house our information center, satellite Internet system, radio transmitters and receivers and the Web operations and production center. I am moving to the ranch to run operations, full-time. Once we are up and running, we will welcome selected, screened visitors to see, first-hand, the battle for America¹s borders.

"LIGHT UP THE BORDER" In the 1980s, Muriel Watson and other brave Americans lined up automobiles south of San Diego and used their headlights to "light up the border." They showed hundreds of illegal aliens running across open fields into the United States. The media was forced to pay attention. No illegal aliens now cross where Muriel Watson¹s automobiles were lined up. A twelve-mile-wide border barrier system stops them, placed there by a shamed government.

"LIGHTING UP THE BORDER" AGAIN It is time to "light up the border" again. It is time to show the American people that our nation is being invaded. This time, instead of headlights, we will use the Internet. Just as we do with americanpatrol.com (the most popular immigration reform Web site), we will show illegals flooding into the United States, first- hand, and, if possible, live. We will show what the Border Patrol is doing to stop this invasion, and why they fail. We will show what America could do to stop the invasion.

WORKING WITH RANCHERS As has American Patrol for years, ABP will work with ranchers, such as Roger Barnett of Douglas, Arizona (featured in Time Magazine), to focus on how, when and where illegal aliens are crossing our border. We will use video cameras and infrared technology to show, on a regular basis, how illegal aliens are violating our sovereignty. (What would Americans think of a Webcam mounted on popular invasion routes? How many would log on to try to catch aliens invading their nation? Plenty.)

BORDER PATROL TACTICS Under the direction of Bill King, Ron Sanders, and other former Border Patrol officials, we will explain to the American people, on a blow-by-blow basis, how the battle for our borders is going. We will tell them why illegal aliens are dying in the desert and what we can do to stop it. We will tell them why illegal aliens continue to cross the border, even after they have been arrested up to fifteen times. We will tell the American people how terrorists can cross our borders undetected and undeterred. And, if they want to get personally involved, we will show Americans how to do it.

SUPPORTING THE BORDER PATROL ABP will support the Border Patrol. Our network of concerned citizens along the border will represent an important source of reports, processed through ABP for confirmation. We will be in constant contact with agents working the line and they will know how much America is behind them.

NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT

For many reasons, some of which cannot be made public now, I can think of no more important task than immediately securing our borders. We are working to launch American Border Patrol on September 1. With your help, we can do it. Glenn Spencer

P.S. Until ABP receives approval of its non-profit status, American Patrol will handle its banking. We may be able to give donors tax credits at a later date, but nothing is guaranteed. G.S. #

Sounds fun. 9-11 has brought the alien invasion into renewed focus. Unfortunately, much of that focus is on illegal immigration as it relates soley to terrorists coming into the US, nevermind the drug runner or jobseeker who may not be a bomber, but is still illegal. Tancredo's Immigration Reform Caucus has also gained new membership since 9-11 and is also worth keeping an eye on.

President Reagan said, "A nation without a border is not a nation."

He also said, "Give us your tired..."
Then he signed a big fat amnesty.

Homeland Security Dept under Bush and Co. is now an invalid...they just added " to keep trade flowing" as a priority duty of Homeland Security Dept......Homeland Security and Dept of Transportation and Commerce should have separated duties and adversarial roles to be effective.... I now no longer support Homeland Security...it is by defined duties a farce now

As I understand it, this is a private citizen initiative and is not connected with either Tom Ridge or the government. Actually, I expect the gov't. will take a dim view of this operation.

Probably a poor choice of terms by the author in using "homeland security."

I don't support the gov't. version either. In fact, I don't even like the sound of "homeland security." National security was/is appropriate, I think. (‡>]

Actually it is my information that the administration has added the responsibility to " keep trade flowing" to the new Department of Homeland Security. This whole thing is a farce. With the Bush admin. continuing cover-up of OKC,no cleaninh house at the FBI and CIA, Flt 800, the immediate execution of TMV , the cover-up of Clinton's misdeeds, letting the Clintons and their buddies off scott free, refusing any link to OKC-WTC#1-WTC9/11 and Bush lack of a stand on everything from education to economics and a welfare state, I feel we are no more and probably less safe that we were a year ago....all this fake alert and ballyhooing and letting out info, real or false, just lets the enemmy test their network.... stupid stupid stupid all the way around, because there is no thoughtful and deep-seated philosophy in this administration...at least we knew Clinton hated America and aided our enemies...

What an excellent idea. I think that if people could actually see the chaos going on on the border they would be up in arms. As it is now, the liberal media doesn't report on a fraction of the insanity down there. Bush would have to put the military on the border to keep the people from doing the job this government refuses to do.

If terrorists infiltrate over our borders, the blood will also be on W's hands.

Point: the US Border Patrol had their rifles taken away, they now carry only pistols, in order to deter them from resisting attack. Their standing ROE are to run away from attackers.

Point: the US Border Patrol had their tracking dogs taken away, they were TOO EFFECTIVE. The pro-invasion lobby complained about "mean dogs", the dogs, trained for tracking in rural brush countyr, are now idle.

Bush would rather risk terrorist infiltration than upset the pro-invasion lobby. Hell, Bush is pro-invasion.

Seems that way, doesn't it? Bush's inaction or should I say negligent in protecting our borders from this massive invasion is so bewildering, especially given 9/11, that the only logical conclusion is that Bush is in fact "pro-invasion". Nothing else explains it.

I will tune into the webcam show of "chaos on the border". It will be like the illegal aliens own version of "Survivor". If they make it past the border patrol they will win the grand prize of 245i(amnesty)presented at the White House by President Bush and Vincente Fox.

Until they stop illegal immigration the gov has no business messing with our civil rights. If it is too much for them to handle then they should stay out of the way and let their boss handle it.

It's already on his hands. Every time some municipality decides to accept ID cards issued by a corrupt foreign government without a word from Washington the problem is multiplied. Every time some tinhorn ethnic pimp like Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca decide that they're not going to cooperate with the INS or enforce all laws with nary a peep out of D.C., the problem becomes even worse.

I saw that no-good Baca a couple of weeks ago in a press conference with Mel Gibson. That low-life Baca had the audacity to be handing out a check to the widow of a local deputy who was executed by a Mexican illegal who had been deported 3 times (and the suspect is still at large, probably in Mexico where we won't be able to get at him). If Baca and these clowns who choose to enforce only the laws they want to enforce would actually detain the illegals they encounter America would be a lot safer. Yet they continue to get away with this without a word out of the administration or Congress. Even after 9/11. Even though Americans continue to be harmed by these wretched illegals every single day. It's disgraceful.

The forces of greed, greed for cheap labor (R) and greed for cheap votes (D) seem to totally outweigh the need for security and sovereign borders.

Is obeying the law now optional in the USA, depending on which laws the oligarchs don't want enforced? It makes me sick.

But Pie, don't you understand, it is Americans who have broken the law and deserve to be patted down. After all, stopping illegal immigration would be racial profiling, and we can't do that. (sarcasm) Honestly, though, things are getting really bad in some of our sunbelt cities. Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Houston, San Diego, Phoenix, Dallas and Atlanta have a big mess on their hands as a result of illegal immigration.
