Bid to raise cigarette tax is delayed

LANSING -- A plan by Republican leaders to use a cigarette tax increase to solve state budget problems suffered a setback early today.

GOP leaders delayed until next week any vote on the tax hike after a related bill failed by two votes.

Every day now this SOB RINO Governor of ours attempts to raise taxes on something, the Michigan republicans are growing extremely tiresome.

A lot of states that pulled this crap with soaking the smokers are going to lose more revenue than they gain. The black market in cigarettes that will develope will see to that. Buy your smokes online and cut the greedy state out of the entire process. Make sure that they not only lose the extra 50 cents that they want to add to every pack, but also the 75 cents that they are currently getting from you.

Same thing in Ohio. The Republicrats are in control... higher taxes.
