Fire and police brass are on alert for a new and especially insidious threat - terrorists bearing bombs in replica cop cars, ambulances or firetrucks.

Fears of such a tactic were fueled this month when two unidentified Middle Eastern men tried to purchase a replica ambulance from a company in north Jersey, law-enforcement sources told The Post.

One of many new worries we have. Solution? Kick out all those who fit the profile. This is a time of war, and most everyone is on the look out for the enemy - and we know who they are. Sure, there are some who will look different then the profile, but that should not stop us from acting on what we do know.

The downside? People might start claiming to be christians between the ages of 20-40 and start problems, in which case I will be in big trouble ;) But what can happen and what is happening are two different things. IF they are US citizens, fine, they stay - otherwise, OUT.

Last week here in Dallas, three middle eastern men tried to purchase uniforms from the local police supply store. Does anyone see the connection?

Exactly. Our security and well-being start with us, not the government. Each and every American, including Muslims who are citizens, is bound by their sense of "duty, honor, and country" to be vigilant, ask questions, report suspicions. That, IMHO, is the only way we will protect ourselves from this curse of Islam. To all the Islamic terrorists and fear-mongers in the world, I say "Nuts". We are the "long gray line".

A Nassau County (adjacent to NYC) police radio car has been "missing" since the end of 2001. It was a local astory that dropped off the screen real fast. There was never, to my knowledge, a follow-on report about the car's recovery.

NYers understand that this city is the front line. If there is an PA against Israel-like campaign it may include other locations but it will certainly happen here.

Solution? You just read part of it. Be alert, remember situational awareness, question and report things that just don't fit. Other than that? Not much. We are a huge Country and it's a cold world.

The world's a big, complex place. We are at war with elements of Islam. I have seen first hand the carnage, both in '93 and '01. I hold no mercy or forgiveness for those who back the other side in even the slightest way. My attitude is keep killing them until we've killed enough to stop them for good.

That said, I have to admit that I have known muslims who have behaved ethically and honorably in their dealings with me. I've known people from my own "group" who would screw a snake. It's a battle within me when I come in contact with a muslim, even one I've known for years. Part of me wants to kick his ass, the other part says, wait, you know this guy. The one I'm refering to btw lives less than a mile from GZ, just had his first kid and is not leaving. Like I said, it's a big, complex world we have to deal with.

Dangerous is right....my 15 year old daughter wants to take early college classes at FIT in mid-town. My wife and I applaud her initiative. But, in keeping with the reality of life in NYC these days, we have prepared an emergency kit that she must carry (I carry the same items myself when in town). It includes mini mag-light, Cell phone, water, whistle, painter's mask, etc.. We also established a safe place for her (St. Francis Church on 32nd St.) in case things get shut down. She's to go there and wait until I or her older brother (27) come for her. She's to wear only sneakers, we had family members running for their lives on the 11th....We're not paranoid, just practical. And, we won't let the bastards chase us out....helluva way to be a kid...

Here is yet another case for profiling. But as opposed to arguing with the left on the "politically correct" term of "racial profiling," let's call it what it is: Suspect Profiling.

Suspect Profiling is no different than what the police do after a bank has been robbed or after another crime has been committed.

"Be on the lookout for a group of men, age 20 - 40, black straight hair, dark complected, full black beards and moustaches, well groomed, with strong middle eastern accents. Suspects may be armed, and are considered dangerous."

If the left wants to die, let 'em. I bet that the feds don't get to suspect profile during the 7/4 celebrations and someone, somewhere (especially with all of the "police" protection) gets one off.

Then what?

Yes, doofus! NOW are you going to allow the police to suspect profile and do their job? Or how many more people have to die in this country?

It is a tough call. But, this is our home and like the Brits in London in 1940 we don't like the idea of being chased out. Add to that a pretty strong faith in God and it becomes bearable.
