It's been a rough few years for historians. The higher the rung, the greater the fall. Plagiarism infected the works of superstar authors Doris Kearns Goodwin and Stephen Ambrose. Both are prolific writers who fell prey to pressures of time, sloppy researchers, careless rewrites and history as big business, all of which interrupted their 20 minutes of academic celebrity.

This is what Rush Limbaugh means when he says, "A conservative is afraid you won't understand him. A 'Liberal' is afraid you will understand him."
Mendacity is taken for granted by the newsmedia. If they don't outright falsify information, they slant it to support their political views, which are overwhelmingly "Liberal".
Liberal political "spin", which reached its most brazen blatancy during the Clinton Administration with the complete support and complicity of the journalists of the mainstream newsmedia, is nothing but mendacity.
Mendacity inherent in "Liberalism" is one reason it is so dispised by non-"Liberals" and why "Liberals" are held in such contempt.
Ubiquitous mendacity in the mainstream media is one reason why journalists and the media are held in such contempt by honest people.
Of course, mendacity was an inextricable part of the Clinton Administration and is an inextricable part of Democrat Party politics.
I suppose the colonists drove out the mightiest empire on earth at the time by saying, 'pretty please'.........
