(New York-AP) -- The New York City Council is considering creating a commission to explore the economic and psychological impact of paying reparations to the descendants of slaves.

Deputy Majority Leader Bill Perkins says no one's calling for compensatory damages yet.

Councilman Charles Barron, who helped introduce the bill, says a vote on whether to create the commission could come this summer.

Barron says the proposal calls for the commission's work to last for one year. He calls slavery an ``injury'' that's been ``passed down from generation to generation.''

The resolution also encourages the creation of an annual Reparation Awareness Day on April 21st.

I call on all people of Slavic (the word slave evolved from slav) descent to immediately demand reparations and a major share of ANY and ALL reparations paid to blacks to compensate for the 700 years in which Slavs glutted the slave market and therefore benefited blacks by delaying their targeting by Europeans.

Since black slavery lasted aproximately 300 years. 700 + 300 = 1000. We demand a 70% cut of ANY and ALL renumerations to be paid to any and all persons who can claim slavic ancestry.

Did you know that this guy was a black panther? He still describes himself as a "Black Christian Revolutionary Socialist" if I remember correctly.

I had no idea. ITSN'T THAT JUST SPEEEECIAL! You would think there would be more important things on the agenda for Black people than hand-outs (reparations). Makes you sick! Just who the heck is gonna pay these reparations in New York? Most people here come from immigrant families. My relatives came from Italy thru Ellis Island. They had nothing to do with slavery and I absolutely refuse to give any money to reparations!

Not to his constituents. I think one of the few things his district excels in is the number of housing projects it holds. I think they're number two or three in the city.

The guy is a pot-stirring potential traitor. I take someone at his word when he calls himself a "revolutionary".
