Define unjustified, violence and innocents. Their meanings are not the same as everyone else's; they meanings are colored by the dictates of islam. And anyway, if we don't wipe out the radicals, the moderates will not gain the strength or the courage to speak out.
Jihadis kill moderates everywhere; last week they beheaded a 23 year old MUSLIM woman in Kashmir on her wedding night for 'collaboration' with the Indian police. In Algeria, they murder their Muslim brethren wholesale. Tashbih Sayyed, a courageous journalist from Pakistan hiding in the US becuase of death threats (WWW.paktoday.com) rants against the jihadis and is forced to seek sanctuary in America. The list goes on and on. The moderates need our help big time. If they don't feel comfortable enough to speak out here in the US, imagine the level of intimidation and coercion they're under by the Jihadis of whom, one group, Al-Fuqra, run by a guy name Gilani in Pakistan, who Danny Pearl was trying to meet, has been responsible for stabbing an imam in Arizona and has murdered indian doctors in the USA - Seattle.
Just because someone is a muslim does not mean they are terrorist, killers and traitors.
There's a greater problem here. How do we identify moderates in a faith that promotes "blessed lies"? According to the Koran, any act committed for the purpose of advancing Islam is sanctioned by Allah. It stands to reason that while one faction of Islam is engaged in jihad against non-believers, another faction, moderate on its face, is engaged in a campaign of lies and disinformation for the sake of Islamic preservation. Even the most radical Islamist understands that a Western war against Islam will bring about the destruction of Islam. He also understands that the legitimate religion status Islam enjoys provides access to the countries they are obligated to destroy. It appears that "moderate" Islam is working hand-in-hand with "fundamentalist" Islam towards the same goal.
I don't doubt that "moderate" Muslims do exist, but I would argue that they aren't "True Muslims". A "True Muslim" understands the words of the Koran and embraces the violence and hatred of Mohammed. To denounce violence and hatred of all non-believers is to denounce the Koran, and by obvious extention, Islam itself. It just doesn't mesh.
So when we say "moderate", we really mean "misinformed". We're referring to those Muslims who don't understand what it is their faith asks of them and what Islam seeks to achieve (world domination through violence and slavery). But how do we seperate them from the "blessed liars" who can tell us to our faces that "Islam is Peace" without so much as blinking, because Allah is smiling down on them? How do we weed out the good from the bad in a religion that makes no distinction between wrong and right (as in, it's all the same if it's in the cause of promoting Islam)?
