Dear supporter of "Alan Keyes Is Making Sense,"
MSNBC, in announcing their new programming line up, has left Alan's show out of prime time. They are intending to offer no conservative host in their evening programming. As grassroots activists who have benefited greatly from the truth and integrity that "Alan Keyes Is Making Sense" consistently affords its viewers, we are deeply disappointed by MSNBC's ill-advised action. We believe a time change out of their evening line up would severely limit the influence of the show, reduce its likelihood of succeeding, and send a message that MSNBC cares little about attracting new viewership.
Radical, pro-Palestinian web sites are publicly taking credit for intimidating MSNBC into this move. GLAAD and other homosexual activist organizations have also attacked the show and called for its removal.
If you care about the future of the show, please e-mail MSNBC and express your desire to keep the show on air during prime time. Let the network know that you consider Alan's show one of the smartest, hardest-hitting and most informative programs on television; that America needs Alan's brilliant and insightful analysis; and that the show's outstanding quality and honesty will guarantee a broad base of viewers over time as people continue to learn about it.
Let them know that you are an MSNBC viewer of this show NOW, and that their action is both a rejection of your loyalty to the show, and of the acceptance you have extended MSNBC because with this show they have offered frank, truthful commentary during this period of grave national challenge.

Besides e-mailing, writing, and calling MSNBC and NBC to voice your support of "Alan Keyes is Making Sense," you can--
Furthermore, disagreement with the President of the United States--or more particularly, the President's policies--does not constitute "attack." Such immature thinking poses a direct threat to the future of our nation. Socrates said that the "unexamined" life is not worth living. It could be said that the unexamined policies of our leaders are not worth supporting, either.
Why would Keyes agree to that?
We DO like the show also but it must be FIXED. Who told Keyes to do all the SCREAMING at OTHER people on the show? His show is LOUDER than commercials and all other shows are vice versa. We have to turn it DOWN so that nobody will think that we ARE haveing a fight in our house. Does he have to HAVE a microphone?? Probably but maybe if he had a WATERFALL next to HIS chair it would make him more quite during the show. Maybe EVEN hypnosis but maybe not. Who told Keyes to ATTACK President Bush??? That IS dumb in the middle of our WAR. He does attack TERRORISTS but then he ATTACKS President Bush. I think PEOPLE wonder why is he ATTACKING President Bush when he is ON our side. How MANY sides can there BE? I think he will LEARN from this if he gets another show he will BE better because HE'S really a nice man. I think he just HAS bad advicers.
Could you please point out one time Keyes has "bashed" Bush on his show? I've watched every show, and never seen one instance of it.
Thanks.
If the show is cancelled, principled conservatives will be the losers, not Dr. Keyes.
It also looks as if there is no need for me to watch MSNBC any more. Well... maybe I'll watch it once or twice, to verify that Phil Donahue hasn't changed and is still dutifully trudging his same well-worn path. After all, I wouldn't want to be as closed-minded as Phil is.
I sincerely hope Alan Keyes finds a good (new) venue for his considerable talents and his refreshing honesty.
Okay. Passionate indignation is OK. Just MAKE it LOW volume passionate indignation. When it is LOUD people might think "this is LOUD and I am not HEARING what he has to say because it SOUNDS like SCREAMING to me" and then they dont hear what he said. I stick with the NO ATTACKS on President Bush though. That is JUST dumb with our WAR on. Maybe if Socrates had a TV show it would go DOWN the tubes also.
No. I did not TAPE any shows and I have no PICTURES to give you. If I am the ONLY one who says Keyes ATTACKS President Bush during the WAR then I am WRONG, I guess. But I know and YOU know that I am not WRONG. Keyes does ATTACK Bush most of the times he is ON.
I agree COMPLETELY with YOU. I want the show to stay ON. I have been trying to THINK of the things that he can DO to avoid the boat (show) from SINKING. 1) Less LOUDNESS. 2) No more ATTACKS on President Bush. Maybe it would help if he TOLD people on his show as soon as he can that he WILL support Bush in 2004. Maybe could he DO that tonight? I will be on HIS side no matter what but I think it would HELP. Right now people might think "he ATTACKS President Bush on each show and MAYBE he is going to RUN against President Bush even with the WAR still going". Hmmmmmm! Do YOU think some people THINK like that??
BTW, do you know how many times Keyes even mentioned the name "Bush" on his show? Hardly ever.
And it's interesting, the one thing I can remember Keyes criticizing Bush for was the Powell visit to Israel. Why did he criticize that visit? Because Powell treated Arafat like a legitimate partner in the peace process.
You know what? Now the Bush administration--at least, Condi Rice--are saying what Keyes said back then: Arafat is not legitimate.
Maybe Bush watches the show, too. :)
Right now the show airs in Jerusalem at 5 am, 11 am, and noon. If MSNBC changes it to 4 pm Eastern time, it will air in Jerusalem at 11 pm. Aren't most people in Israel either asleep or at work during current show times?
It wasn't MSNBC it was the public who didn't. He got terrible ratings.
