TOKYO (Reuters) - Four men were injured in an explosion in a lobby housing Asahi Bank automated telling machines on a busy street in Osaka, western Japan, on Tuesday, a police spokesman said.
Two men suffered serious burns when the lobby caught fire after what witnesses described as an "incredible noise." Two passers-by were slightly injured.
Police and firefighters were trying to determine the cause of the explosion, which took place around 1845 hours (5:45 a.m. EDT).

Very strange....... these things just don't up and explode by themselves, at least I don't think they do.

Why do I get the feeling that some game show will feature some sadistic variation on this. "Two of these three cash machines has a bomb in it. The other has ten million dollars! You can walk away now, or RISK YOUR LIFE(tm)! What's it gonna be?" Japan already has some pretty weird game shows, from what I recall.
Sorry, my mind's deep in ironic mode today.

Funny...ATM machines are about the *only* thing I've not heard in relation to a specific, yet-substantiated-not-credible-not-specific target of any kind of threat/warning/plot.
On a serious note however, I do hope those people are alright!

"TOKYO (Reuters) - Four men were injured in an explosion in a lobby housing Asahi Bank automated telling machines on a busy street in Osaka, western Japan, on Tuesday, a police spokesman said." What do they tell? Fortunes? Like in Fortune Cookies?..."You are about to be blown to smithereens!"
Instant, um, gratification.
