ATLANTA -- A ride at Six Flags over Georgia really lived up to its name on Tuesday.

The drop ride is called ``Acrophobia,'' which means a fear of heights.

About 30 people were stuck at a height of 200 feet on the ride for more than an hour because of a power failure at the Atlanta park.

Good thing they weren't upside-down.

Sounds like an innocent inconvenience that was handled properly, but I'm sure that won't stop the advancing swarm of lawyers from descending on the "victims".

You're welcome! :-) Here is one of the expected physical response to the demonstration of gravity...

More than an hour? I wonder if anyone had nature call them @ 200'? That would have been a funny site. A yellow stream from above....

I've actually ridden that one. Well, "ride" isn't actually the term -- you just free fall.

The only time in my life I've been scared in an amusement park.

Here is the same ride, only at 1,149 feet.

I just love those rides that drop you like a rock. Three seconds of sheer terror, followed by that "I'm alive! I'm alive" feeling.

How could they "get stuck" at the top? The thing runs on gravity, right?
