I mean it is bad enough the news and entertainment industry wants everyone to look like Calista Flockhart.
Will the airline industry join them? Will the nation's fat people go for it?
Will the new Austin Powers film get a Best Picture Oscar nomination?
Southwest is under no obligation to accommodate everyone. They can sell to whomever they choose, if they perceive it will be beneficial to their business. This policy isn't aimed at those people who comprise 60% of the population. It is aimed at those who take up more than one seat and generally weigh more than twice as much as the standard 160 lb average person.
Quit justifying obesity with soft PC terms like "weigh just a bit more" and "fluffy". Just a bit more does not mean one seat more.
