Jerusalem bombing: Israel to retaliate; Hizbollah praises; Islamic Jihad member assassinated

Israel has decided to retaliate for the Palestinian suicide attack in Jerusalem that killed at least 19 people, Israeli public radio reported.

Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Defense Minister Binyamin Ben Eliezer made the decision to respond, the radio added.

Government sources cited by the radio said Sharon and Ben Eliezer met with army and security officials to discuss the riposte to the latest attack. A meeting of Sharon's "mini-cabinet" was scheduled for Tuesday evening.

According to Haaretz, government sources said that following Sharon and Ben Eliezer consultations there was no change in the decision, at present, not to expel Yasser Arafat.

The fact that the security cabinet was not convened, the sources pointed out, was a signal that Israel's response would be in line with responses to recent attacks.

Israel Radio reported that Foreign Minister Shimon Peres was on his way back to Israel after cutting short a diplomatic trip to Bulgaria and Slovenia.

Meanwhile, Israeli commandos killed an activist of the Islamic Jihad in a "targeted" hit in the West Bank city of Hebron on Tuesday, Israeli and Palestinian sources said.

Yussef Bisharat, 22, was gunned down in his car at an army roadblock at the northern entrance to Hebron, said an Islamic Jihad spokesman, who added that Bisharat was a member of his group's military wing. Two other people in the car were arrested.

Bisharat's brother Mohammed, a Jihad military leader for the northern West Bank, was also assassinated a year ago near the town of Jenin by Israeli helicopter gunships, in an attack in which two others likewise died.

Israeli security sources said Bisharat was on a wanted list for having opened fire on March 26 at a jeep of an international force in Hebron killing two observers.

Hizbollah

Hizbollah chief Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah said on Tuesday the suicide bombing in Jerusalem proved Israel had no chance of stopping suicide attacks with a security fence on its West Bank frontier. Nasrallah said Israel had failed to crush the 20-month-old Palestinian uprising.

"The concrete fence is a physical Israeli admission, in addition to the verbal admissions, of the failure of the Zionist policy and measures to hit and dismantle the resistance," Nasrallah told a gathering of Arab and Muslim parliamentarians.

"The Israelis admit today...they were unable to dismantle the resistance infrastructure or crush the will of Palestinians to resist and this is shown by the (suicide) operations that took place after the end of the 'Defensive Wall'," he said, referring to an Israeli operation in the West Bank to round up suspected activists.

"These checkpoints and delays and walls might partly delay the operations for a period of time but, on the other hand, they will force the Palestinian fighters and resistance to focus most or all of their efforts on the...settlements," he said.

Nasrallah said Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon had already rejected a Palestinian state, and, mocking the language of U.S. diplomacy, said an ideal solution would be for Israelis to leave Israel, as well as the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

"I suggest that the solution should be for one state, a Palestinian state from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan river," Nasrallah said, "because the land of Palestine, as Sharon has admitted, cannot hold two states". "We request that they (Israelis) go back where they came from. I believe the Arab states can pay for them to go back, first class."

This is the solution to what the A-RABS call the Israeli "occupation".

I suggest that the Sheikh, Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and all the rest of the Palestinians go back where they came from, that is, to hell. I would gladly pay for a one way ticket to meet Allah (aka Satan) face to face.

I'm reading a book I picked up last week entitled THE MIDDLE EAST PEACE PROCESS: AN AUTOPSY. It's a collection of articles that have appeared in COMMENTARY magazine since 1993 and the completion of the Oslo accords, up to the present. One author, in an article from 1993, wrote: "Terrorist attacks on Israelis are routinely attributed either to lone Muslim fanatics suddenly driven to murder Jews, or to the actions of Hamas cells. Yet the truth is that a majority of terrorits acts, against both Jews and Palestinian Arabs accused of 'collaboration,' are commited by the secular Fatah, Arafat's own group in the PLO. And despite the reputed rivalry between the PLO and Hamas, some of the operations are mounted by them as joint efforts. Arafat himself has repeatedly taken credit for every 'execution' in the territories. ('I approve every file,' he once said, 'if not before the execution, then after it.')"....Of course, this history is lost on our esteemed news media, Palestinian sympathizers here and in Europe, and peace activists.

"..."because the land of Palestine, as Sharon has admitted, cannot hold two states"."

Considering the Arab penchant for double talk...the Native Americans had it almost right when they observed that white men speak with forked tongues....they hadn't dealt with enough ARAB MUSLIMS yet...this statement means that the bombings will continue (as per usual) until Israel is destroyed.

Has anyone besides me noticed that since Israel pulled out of the West bank the attacks have restarted and are picking up momentum?

At what point will W let the Israelis finish the job?

The slaughter of Israelis will never stop, no matter what--a Palestinian state, rivers of money, you name it. Nothing will stop the murders of Israelis by Palestinian terrorists until every Israeli is dead or driven into the sea. Yasser wouldn't want it any other way.

The "solution" is to pre-emptively wipe out all who would raise their children to become homicide bombers. Islamists and smallpox are both dangerous to mankind and must be eradicated.

Stay vigilent and stay armed!

I hope Israel will find those terrorists and send them to that trip.

Nasrallah said Israel had failed to crush the 20-month-old Palestinian uprising.

Israel could crush the movement in a single day, but they have not been trying to crush, merely to dissuade. If Nasrallah wants to see crushing, he should keep up the efforts at terrorism. Sooner or later . . .

"The Israeli's have admitted they cannot stop us with a wall." O.K. they need to forget the wall & put up bunkers, troops & tanks and kill anything that moves trying to cross the border illegally. These Terrorists @sshole's need to be wiped off the planet, I am ashamed that our government is trying to give the Palestinians Israeli land while they kill their people. This is unforgivable & in my heart I know we will pay a heavy price in the near future.

I agree with your #11. "Sooner or later..."

I find the honesty of this hizbollah scum somewhat refreshing after growing so weary of the PA's double-talk...refreshing, as in a breeze wafting over an open sewer.

I wonder if Turner or any of the other elite-lib types will pay attention to this declaration of evil purpose. Nah, I doubt it.

I'll be glad when the Jews let loose the Lion and end this deadly dance with the devil.

Whatever happened to the Bush Doctrine? Whatever happened to the plain talk that made us all so proud. We knew that we would absolutely not stand for this monstrosity called terrorism, in any way shape or form.

And here we are, 8 months later, and we're waffling all over the place. Whatever happened to that sense of absolutes - knowing what is right and what is wrong.

Innocents are dying. Kids are dying. Everyday. What the hell are we doing?

When are we going to stand up and say, "Mr Arafat, that's enough. From this moment forward, your next act of terror will be your last. Israel has our blessing to defend itself in any way it deems necessary and appropriate. If you want peace, stop the terror immediately - not tomorrow, but right now. No bluster; no feigned indignation. We will no longer accept your wanton murder of Jews. We have gone this far, but will go no further.

"And to those who continue to fund, promote and facilitate the terror war against Israel, we say that war against Israel, is war against us. You have watched us defend ourselves in Afghanistan. You have watched us defend you when Iraq invaded Kuwait. Make no mistake, we will bring the full weight of the the United States Military to bear on you if you continue to inject yourself into this terror war against Israel. Our response will be immediate and severe. You will only have yourselves to blame."

This Ladies and Gentlemen, is called a Peace Initiative. Knock it off, or we will knock you off.

THAT'S the truth....but the reason it won't stop is because their ultimate goal is.....

All together now....

TOTAL WORLD DOMINATION UNDER SHARIA LAW!!

GOOD!! Great job! Now remember that because there will be a test on that later................rest assured.
