Federal authorities have been searching for a merchant ship carrying a group of al Qaeda terrorists and a large cache of weapons that is believed to be headed for Los Angeles, The Washington Times has learned.

The FBI has been investigating an intelligence report about the ship and a group of up to 40 al Qaeda terrorists on board for the past several weeks, but it has been unable to find the vessel or any similar plot, according to law enforcement and intelligence officials.

When I saw that headline, with its' reference to "L.A.", I thought they were searching along the Florida panhandle!

If any of these radical Islamist terrorists are captured after such an attack, I think there are suggestions of torture to find out their specific Middle Eastern hometowns or villages, and then go with a crack covert black ops team and annihilate; leave messages that the next batch of terrorists get the same blackops retaliatory treatment to their own 'hoods'.

This is morally a struggle. I know it is being debated in some quarters. But this might be the only thing to stop them if they are psychotically bent on destroying themselves, otherwise we may have to be worrying about these kinds of FBI posts for the next 50 years, day in and day out. I find that unacceptable.

Mexico. Middle of the night, small shore craft shuttles them to beach. They disperse into small groups (4 or 5) and eventually cross the border with the rest of the illegals. Lots of these M.E. men could pass for Mexican.

That's how I'd do it. And there are already plenty of reports of Iraqi's doing the same thing. (Mostly garden variety illegals, but who knows what else is mixed in with 'em?!)

Don't forget that it they're wearing the wrong color bandanas, that they wouldn't make it past PCH before the local homies capped them! ;^)

FBI/CIA was tracking the boat, then lost it.

Hopefully, this means they sunk it. Shhh.

There are small water craft rentals in that area as well. They need to be vigilant.

Terrorists trying to come ashore through a typical line-up of local surfers.

"Cut me off dude, and you're friggin' shark bait NOW, m.f!

LOL, perhaps a solution to our offshore protection. Those dudes can be vicious!

Why waste good spec operators when we have so many bored submariners lurking off the coast of every nation that has one?

The West Coast entry is a hoax.

The terror folks are disguising themselved as little coconuts and swimming in on the shores of New Hampshire.

I suggest that they are already here when you consider; On May 23, 10 illegal Chinese immigrants were captured after swimming ashore in California. As you may remember... they came ashore around 2:00 am and were only caught because some high school seniors were starting to enjoy the beginnings of their summer vacation.

There has been an unusual amount of Coast Guard Activity here in Boston all day. I wonder if LA is the port being searched, and if Boston is part of this sweep. Curious.

Perhaps they are trying to supply automatic weapons to the gangs, to stir the pot domestically. The PC crowd would wring their hands and call the violence and riots "a perfectly understandable reaction to (fill in the blank)"

Didn't a bunch of AK's filter into the barrio from the COSCO (Chinese Overseas Shipping Co.) a few years back?

>>>And then there's the Trojan Nuclear Plant on the Columbia River. It is closed down and all the spent fuel has been removed but hey, how would they know that! <<<

If the terrorists blow the Trojan Plant up, they would do us all a favor. I'm tired of looking at it and being reminded of all the taxpayer money that went into it and how the environmentalists and no-nucs-here crowd were successful in shutting it down and creating a huge, non-functional eyesore.

Didn't mind it when it was working - functionality is a thing of beauty. Now its just lots and lots of dead concrete.
