I can relate to this as I was working for the Chevy dealer here in Eureka in 55 & 56 and bought the first 55 Chevy that hit the used car lot.. It was a Bel Air 2 door post V8 with an overdrive and I used to race those Buicks at the Somoa Drag Strip. For their size the Buicks were fast but not fast enough. BTW I had to sell the Chevy when I got married on Feb 1st 1957. Looking back it was the right thing to do. (I had to say that cause she reads my posts)
