The funniest story I ever heard about the place was when my late mother in law took her 3 kids in there to buy fudge or something for Dad. She reflected later that it ws odd for a candy store to have such a small selection of sweets..
My husband still loves telling that story - and the look of horror on his father's face.
Is this why your hubby wanted to get married there? For old memories? :)
This is prime example of how real life is often more funny than any comedian's gig. Thanks for sharing.

The owners of the restaurant are dear friends of ours and openned the entire upstairs for us. Plus the food is fabulous!!!
