Freeper Help Needed...G2 on Tsunami Fund

Posted on 06/13/2002 7:44:25 AM PDT by 2Hot4You

This is an umbrella organization for liberal activist groups. They have been involved in the last two Colorado elections, and recently have been attacking Wayne Allard. Their mission is to target Republican Women, getting them to vote Democrat, particularly on gun-related issues.

I need any information anyone has on this outfit, particularly WRT candidate and issue advocacy campaigns. I already know they are affiliated with AGS (Americans for "Gun Safety"), which is the group started by the billionaire who left Handgun Control, Inc because Sarah Brady wasn't making enough "progress". The money behind Tsunami Fund...and there appears to be a lot of it...may be coming from him, as well.

Here is an interesting bio on Drummond Pike, President of Tides Foundation & Tides Center, which is part of the Tsunami Fund. In 2000, they invested in Social Ecology, Inc. His name shows up as a funding source for Gay and Lesbian Organizations under Threshold Foundation. They support the Serpent's Foundation for Women Artists'. They also supported a Kosova Refugee House. Dr Burkhard Luber is listed there as the trustee of Threshold and also has affiliation with Non Violence. org. Donor info on Threshold can be found here. A Google search revealed many organizations supported by Threshold.

Tsunami is also listed on this website. Registered agent is listed as Lowell Finley, who is a Dem campaign finance lawyer. He published a book called Sieze the Initiatives that is pushed by a group called Alliance for Justice. The book is for 501(c)(3)s on the legal do's and don'ts of participating in ballot inititative campaigns. He has also done considerable work for the Equine Protection Network.

The website Junction-City is a collaborative project of the Tsunami Fund, Jim Hightower's Rolling Thunder Tour and CTSG. As a Texan I can assure you that anything associated with Hightower is suspect, LOL!

Just start with these links and build a database of associated names and organizations from Google searches and I am sure you will find what you need. These guys sound like real sickos...I can't do any more searching, I am afraid of what I will find,LOL!
