Muslims, however, also said they were encouraged by people of other faiths who have rallied behind them.

Looks like the weather is not the only thing that will be hot here in Jacksonville.

It is HYPOCRITICAL for the Muslims to condemn ONE Baptist preacher while ignoring the lunatic and dangerous rantings of MANY mullahs.

Jerry Vines is correct. I think we need to distinguish between a legitmate criticism of the "prophet" of Islam - namely Muhammed - and the followers. He wasn't attacking Muslim people.

If Muhammed "married" a 9 yr old, then let the facts stand for themselves. The truth is not hate speech. His critics have their heads in the sand.

"Hate speech has become a predictable event at Southern Baptist conventions," said Robert Parham, executive director of the Baptist Center for Ethics in Nashville, Tenn.

Those Southern Baptist continue to preach the word of God as it is written, and they continus to pi$$ off the PC demons. It has to stop?
Why, those infedels have to die, in the name of Allah!

Former President Jimmy Carter -- who was perhaps America's most famous Southern Baptist -- severed his ties.

If a Clinton supporting Democrat gets up and walks out, you know you've done GOOD!

"People's opinions of Christians are that we're meek and mellow and we love everybody, which we do," Lawless said. "But there is a right and wrong. I want to be B.C., biblically correct, not politically correct."

HOOOORRRRAY!!! BC correct. Cool.

"As Presbyterians and Christians, we are committed to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ throughout all the world, and we do so in respect for people of other religions and faiths," said the Rev. Paul Hooker, executive presbyter for the Presbytery of St. Augustine

Ummm...Jesus said "Get thee behind me, Satan."

"Our intent isn't to create more rift, but to create a feeling of harmony," Shaikh said. "Hopefully, we can enlighten each other."

Or did he mean "ignite" each other?

"He is a person who stands for Jesus Christ, for the word and if we don't follow his teachings regardless of who it offends, we will pay the penalty in the end.

Holy BUMP to that! Amen!

The condemnation of apostates, heretics, and enemies of God is a badge of honor.

Easy prey for the comming PC anti-Christ.
These people won't hesitate to get their mark. They want to fit in with the PC crowd.

The Muslims and others have no problem with people attacking the religious right, so I'm not too impressed with their outrage over this man's comments.

Do American Muslims attack the religious right? If they do it is nowhere on the scale of what Jewish Democrats do to fundamentalist Christians.

American Muslims (not all, but many) attack AMERICANS, period.

As for Jews who attack the American right, maybe one of these days they'll wake up and smell the coffee.

However, I won't hold my breath. What is amazing is that the Leftists have ALWAYS had strong elements of antisemitism.

But, Socialism is a religion, and you know how people are about religions....they aren't interested in the facts, often ignore the damage they do themselves and others in the way they practice their faith, and they are outraged if anyone questions their belief.
