Alarmed by the increased dangers of nuclear warfare in the post-Sept. 11 world, Representative Edward J. Markey and a group of veteran antinuclear activists are seeking to revive an old initiative - the movement for a nuclear freeze - to reinvigorate a worldwide campaign against the use and proliferation of nuclear weapons.

Federalizing Roller Coasters didn't fly, now Markey's going revive the nuclear freeze movement.

What's next, get medium range missles out of Europe?

Where were all these SOB's when in the 90s, when all the proliferation was occurring during the Treasonous/Rapists reign?

Well, I fought these SOB's back in the Reagan years, and I'm game for another go-round.

the movement for a nuclear freeze - to reinvigorate a worldwide campaign against the use and proliferation of nuclear weapons.

Typical liberal naivete'. I swear, these people have no clue how human nature works. They actually think for a moment that the world's terrorist states (Iran/Irqa, Libya, Pakistan, China, North Korea) would actually ABIDE BY international law? These nations have not shown any desire to do so in the past, and they will continue to ignore "international" "law" in the future, so why the hell will this fix the problem now?

Hint to these leftist freaks: If you freeze the industrialized world's weapon stocks, what will then stop the third-world terrorist states from surpassing our nuclear arsenal?

Another slight hint: The 60's ended a long time ago. Grow up.

I honestly see the left as extremely irrelevant these days. The trite liberal mantras of tree hugging, hate crimes, global warming, gun control, . . . ad nauseum seem to be falling on deaf ears. The communist/socialist media's gratis airing of these "concerns" is beyond tiresome. I would place nuclear disarmament in 20th+ place on the list of extraneous commie/pinko/anti-American "concerns".

Agree/Disagree?

Agreed 100%. If it weren't for the vast numbers of flower children in the media, idiots like these would still be flippin' burgers.

Markey Mark was a member of "New Kids on the Block" and was one of the lead actors in the Perfect Storm.

Ed Markey wished his career was going as well.
