Westerfield is the devil on earth! Just look at his perverted grin throughout the trial. What did he ever do to that little girl.
First I heard about the strong odor of bleach and a dirty blanket on top of the washer. Also a comforter missing from his bed. Wonder what that's about?

The guy might be guilty, but I sure hope they have some actual evidence. So far all I see is:
The man sweats alot.
He forgot to put away his garden hose.
He co-operated with the cops. (and you know the cops would have also found it suspicous if he didn't co-operate)
The guy does his own laundry.
The guy has bleach.
I find his meanderings through the desert to be a big red flag, but please tell me they have some physical evidence.

Danielle's body was found naked(unlike Chandra Levy, her clothes were still at the scene, not so for Danielle's) and there was no genitalia left because of the decomposition of the body (how great for Westerfield). The evidence is that Danielle's blood and hair fibers were found in Westerfield's RV, explain that one please.

What, am I the defense attorney? Or are you just being a little sensitive? This article has NOTHING substantive that ties this guy to the crime. Maybe you missed where I expressed hope that they had physical evidence to link him to the crime. I sure hope the police are little better at reading people's intentions than you seem to be.

And why the heck are you referencing Chandra Levy? Is there some John Doe #2 connection between the two of them that noe of the rest of us know about?

Without actual evidence it seems as though you have this case wrapped up already, MVV.

Detective: Westerfield appeared nervous when asked about his whereabouts."Only two things make me nervous ... women and the police." - Gator McClusky.

The police found child sex porn. in this creep's home, he obviously had sick fantasies about young girls and boys. My point is, because Danielle's body was well on it's way of decomposing the M.E. was unable to get any substansive DNA from her which could've linked Westerfield as her murderer. Call it my hunch, this guy is guilty!

And you very well may be correct in your hunch. But consider this...what if (just what if) someone else abducted and murdered the little child and planted evidence in Westerfields motor home? Is it possible? Sure. Is it probable? Hmmm...don't know. But *IF* Westerfield is guilty then he should be shot at sunrise. *IF* he isn't guilty, then it'd be wise to determine the real killer. The negligent parenting abilities of the Van Dams opened the doors to their home wide...the scum of the earth passed through. They didn't protect their child in this case. imho.
btw, FresnoDA has thread currently running on this subject.

There is another VD thread underway, but I simply can't not reply to your comments. David Westerfield may in fact be the lone perp in this murder investigation, however, if the Van Damned played any role in acting either negligently or as accomplices, would not you want them brought to justice as well?? HHHMMM...or maybe it is all about getting that pound of Westerfield flesh. And BTW...the VD's had porn on their PC as well, as I am sure you know by following the transcripts...FresnoDA

I am sure that when I listened yesterday both detectives said that they did not notice any "cleaning" odor. I know I heard Feldman specifically ask that and they both said no. Maybe it was on another visit.

The guy might be guilty, but I sure hope they have some actual evidence. The primary evidence is the body of an innocent child. Put your list of what the prosecution has on Westerfield in the context of a child being taken from her room two doors down from the sweaty guy with the perfect house which happens to have a hose out of place, bleach odor in the garage, no comforter on the bed, a dirty blanket on the dryer, with the sweaty guy describing an impromptu midnight desert drive.
Circumstantial evidence is actual evidence.

I believe they found Danille's blood in his Winnebago, I heard that on the news here in LA.
The only time I ever saw anyone sweat like that, when no one else was sweating like that - is when the person was NERVOUS! Like Al Gore in Florida, had sweat stains under his arms as big as hub caps. And during a trial for which I was called for jury duty, I saw this occur. A gal was suing a car dealership, and she was so NERVOUS that she had huge wet sweat stains under her arms. I thought right then that she was lying. I figure Al Gore was lying. I also think Westerfield is lying. Only time you see people sweat so heavy like that is at the gym in the summer.

I've lurked on some of those threads, and the only thing you seem interested in, Buddy Boy, is the Van Dam's sex life.

Some likelyhood is that the girl died on account of that sex life. And if YOU want to hang a man without looking into ALL the nooks and crannies for the slug that may have done this, why then YOU should be hanged.

The little girl was abducted and killed by her parents' engaging in consentual extra-marital sex with like-minded adults who they were friendly with? You are a defense attorney's wet dream. Get a grip. The case is about a MURDER, not the Van Dam's sex life. The defendant may or may not be guilty, but you guys who think the Van Dams should be held accountable for their little girl's murder because of their sex life are beyond shame.
If the Van Dams weren't swingers, I'm sure you and FresnoDA and other like-minded souls would have no abounding interest in this case. You're ghouls, pissing on the memory of a dead girl.

You've convinced me, Mr. Post-Suicide. I'm a believer!
Oh rue the day I ever did think a single older neighbor wouldn't be guilty of heinious murder of young ones for living in a family neighborhood!
Like you, I agree that no swinger should ever be under suspicion, should ever be considered. The key, I agree, is consent! By engaging in consensual adult sex swaps, one is ever free of any suspicion, of anything!
Where's the nearest sex club, where do I sisgn up!
Free -- DOM! FREEDOM!
And I remember too, hearing about your own young ones, Mr. Heminway, on the prowl in those libertine days at Plato's Retreat in Manhattan, that famous sex club. I see you have taught your own how to be FOREVER FREE!

One of the top 5 weakest "comebacks" I've read on FR. You should be ashamed of yourself.
