You know, Martin didn't do any thing extraordinary other than just live His life to please the Lord and obey Him. He will be remembered for years to come as a missionary hero just like Jim Elliott, Nate Saint and the others who were killed by the Aucas so many years ago. As much as his family will miss him, I know they see the bigger picture and see what God can and will do with a life completely devoted to Him.

Amen to this!

Oh yes, repubmom. What a blessing for Martin to have been able to lovingly witness, in word and deed, to the terrorists.

When Jim Elliott and others were murdered by the Auca (sp?) Indians, Elizabeth Elliott had the opportunity to go back and witness to them...they rec'd Christ and now live a life victorious. Not saying that Gracia should go back...but Jim's wife did. Surely a special calling.

My heart overflows with gratitude for our Lord and Savior.
