There are a few here who are to busy going into shaking hysterics mode to listen to reason. I can think of three easy, old fashioned methods of tracing the Expedia hit to his particular cumputer, which have nothing to do with government spying on citizens...and most likely, one of those three was used to trace his system and the other used to confirm it.

Why don't serial murderers ever go after people who deserve it? Like pedophiles, for example? Would the police rush to catch a serial killer that was knocking off pedophiles?

If I were a cop, I wouldn't lose much sleep over it. But no, they have to go over moms and sisters.
