Then there's the fact that if people like Gephardt and Daschle and Leahy were doing their jobs instead of doing everything in their power to wreck the Constitution, they wouldn't need bodyguards.

In fact I propose a new Constitutional Amendment. Politicians are not allowed to have personal bodyguards of any kind. No FBI, no Secret Service, no nothing. We'll call it the honesty in politics amendment. And if a pol wants to carry a gun for his personal protection he has to go through the same checks and jump throught the same hoops as everyone else.

I can think of numerous problems that would solve overnight.
