Never could figure out which rocks they were referring to. The base was built on an old chicken ranch and housed an Army Security Agency radio/line intercept unit. ASA merged with Military Intelligence in 1974 and many ASA bases were closed. The Coast Guard used the base after the ASA left. We had medical facilities, PX, Commissary and barracks plus a huge antenna field and highly sophisticated operations building. It was a "fun" site.
