Clothing Found With Chandra's Body (Condit-Levy)

When Chandra's body was found on May 22, we started getting a list of clothing items supposedly found with it: sweat shirt, sweat pants, who knows what all. When I and other posters pointed out that she could never have been wearing all this at one time, the official list condensed to say that what was found was: spandex tights, T-shirt, panties, tube-type exercise bra, and ordinary sneakers (not running or specialty shoes). This at least brought it down to what might be worn at the same time.
However, it raised other questions. This is what someone might wear while working out on the weight machines in a gym [and oddly enough she was last seen, by the official time line, at a gym 2 blks from her apt] but one would NEVER jog or go on a long walk in spandex tights, and this seems a little chilly for 4/30 in DC unless in the very warmest part of the day.
BTW none of these clothes were said to be "worn" or ON the body, but just thrown out near it in a random fashion, and now the Enquirer says the tights were found around a tree clear up on the flatter area near the (official, maintained) West Ridge Trail in RCP!
We have seen speculation all along that Chandra maintained clothing at Gary's apartment, or her own, but that was all neatly packed by someone, in bags ready to leave, when her apt was searched 5/6/01. Only a few things left in drawers or closet.
It is totally non-credible that Chandra would have gone out to meet Gary, or to lunch with friends, or even to a bank or shopping, in the attire found on the slope in Rock Creek Park.
Even AT the gym, would she not have showered and changed back into something more street-worthy before going home?
I am wondering if these items, assuming what was found is only what we are now told, were WHAT SHE HAD IN A LOCKER AT THE GYM, to use just there while working out and then changed out of.
For a year, we were told that on Monday evening 4/30/01 she checked out of the gym and terminated her membership, saying she would soon move back to California. Suddenly about a month ago I began to see it said that the 4/30 transaction as evidenced by a receipt found in her apartment [virtually the ONLY thing found there: the apt had been sanitized and wiped clean of fingerprints]--showed Chandra not as having terminated, but as having PAID FOR ANOTHER MONTH--ie May, and thus continued her membership. Which is it? We are being told two stories. If the new story is true, was she really even planning to leave DC at ALL?
It has struck me that, if someone who was throwing out her bones (body, corpse) in Rock Creek Park had only a nude body, whether fresh or decomposing, and wanted to set it up to look like she had been attacked there...and this was after May 16, when all of Chandra's clothes had been taken by her parents...Where on earth could the perp get anything of hers? Answer: How about the contents of her gym locker, this one outfit she wore there while working out. [It was said that Gary and Dayton were also members of this gym.]
That might also account for the fact her name was sewn into certain seams...

I too noticed the difference in percentages. Anybody have any ideas what the 12-inch bone found yesterday might be? Femur?

The only hitch in that scenario, whther we're talking fleshy corpse or skelton is that there's no shoulder on the Rock Creek Parkway and it's a rather busy road with fast traffic. Perhaps it could be done, quickly, at night. Clothes may have to be tied to the skeleton to make sure they "go the distance" down the ravine, and if it landed where the pelvis meets the left leg, the left leg may have broken off and rolled away from the rest of the body. (The skull as well.) Just a thought.

That's not an impossible narrative, but the biggest flaw it seems to me would be keeping the body in a freezer. That would seem to be an awfully big risk. Getting rid of the corpse before the initial heat turned on in June 2001 would make more sense.
What do you think Condit was doing missing votes in Luray when he called AM Smith and indicated the problem was being taken care of?

Condit was going in the opposite direction from the abduction and making sure he was incommunicado from even the area of the abduction as a last resort alibi( he's clever, the alibi stands because WE pulled it from him reluctantly, very Oriental) . Also get a good road map and you will see you can make a loop using back roads from the Apt/Mansion/Park/Congress area to the west to Luray and return from the east or vice versa.... just drivin' my chevy down a lil' ol' country road ...nice wide circle...Second point, ever had a chest freezer? How many times did someone search it? Plug one in any old place , near or far and no one will look at it ...ever. Any old garage or "someone's house or a vacant but owned building or an old "sugar shack" ...the possibilities are so numerous you would never be able to search it out without specific witness information...out of sight, out of mind, out of smell...and it can be close too...

I've jogged on Broad Branch next to the park. I agree it would be very difficult to stop for any period of time on that road, especially in the dark. What about on Brandywine? How far is Brandywine from where the bones were found?
To: Plummz
Speaking of Condit and House votes, he is on record as having voted three times yesterday evening around 7 PM.
To: chemainus
I don't need a map, I've driven those roads myself.
Do you think she was on ice near Luray? I guess I just don't see sticking her in a freezer as a better solution than sticking her in a hole. (Where was Darrell during this window? Would Gary need his help with a burial? A freeze? Both?)
(Occam also tells me intel-cmmte congresscritters are dirty corruptible bastards who are spied on to keep them in line.)

Advantages 1) smell 2) no time of death ( to wit : don't know now) 3) quick ( try digging a grave that will not be opened by 10 P.M. same day) 4) clean, no soil traces on perps or body or bones ( soil can be traced) 5) no need to take a bath afterwards 6) no tell-tale markers ( ever tried to hide either digging"whattya'doing" or a grave site?)....probably some advantages I've missed and these perps were into the delights of the fringe crowd of Adams-Morgan, not erstwhile farmboys or outdoorsmen like Crow

NOW we're in agreement Plummz ! There was a conspiracy, I just don't know how wide-spread; no other way to explain the actions of the D.C.Police or the FBI or 'Congressional' mutterings and mumbo-jumbo.....look at the kid glove treatment given "No-Thumbs" Carolyn CondiditToo as she cleaned up the pervert's apartment and provided an alibi to broaden the window of no knowledge about Condidit's whereabouts....what we need is a minute by minute timeline of that bastard for at least three weeks...Spain is also too much of a coincidence for the other intern
To: chemainus
I'd think most if not all of the advantages you mention (quick, clean) would also be covered by a dip in quicklime and a stuff in one of thousands of shallow caves -- no digging, no smell. Brother Darrell could provide muscle. (Probably needed for any kind of long-distance disposal, including refrigeration.)
Good points, though.

Not sure which post you're responding to exactly, but glad to know of the agreement. So, you think Carolyn has been active in the cover-up(s)? Like a Stepford-Starkweather Wife? I'm still undecided, but I do think it's possible. The blondes seen with Chiang and the Cali girl, the purported phone conversation with Levy. . .
Though, we don't know if she backed Condit's alibi, since afaik, she was never interviewed by any LE whatsoever.

Look I am a chemist and a caver ....you don't do a "quick dip" in CaO it takes a helluva lot of the stuff to do anything plus moisture and you'd have to buy it and then lug it ( all traceable) and the idea while obsessive is just a blind alley....caves are explored too often at random by members of the JMU/GMU/GT/AU/UVA and 50 other Grottoes / caving groups...also the vast majority of all caves are mapped not only as to location but every level and turn....only an experienced caver would venture beyond the twilight zone....get rid of this idea also ....I know the tourist Agatha Christie appeal of Luray is great but get rid of it.... Luray is just a place on the country road loop with a MacDonalds and a phone where Condidit had probably passed with some of his biker buddies ( and they ain't all squeaky clean as their posts suggest) and a good place to get away while the deeds were being completed...hell get a life ...the perp is on the intelligence committee....he knows calls are easily traced....he just thought his silent charm had captivated AMS more than it had and he also underestimated the fact that this savvy gal would whistle up the Marines when he and his queer goons threatened her....
To: Plummz
I want to see a minute by minute timeline of Condit and Lynch and "no-Thumbs" Carolyn and any other of the goons he had working for him ...for this whole period....WHERE IS THIS BASIC INFORMATION ?????? C-O-V-E-R--U-P by the U.S. Gov't. same as Flight 800....no leads are ever re-checked....new news is allowed to die because the peons don't have the means or the media to serve as a collective memory

According to NetValue's The Chandra Levy Chronology (Update #11), the FBI and the DC police interviewed both Carolyn Condit and Gary Condit at the FBI field office in Tyson's Corner, Va., on July 4, 2001.

Can't pull up the chronology...what I want to see is NOT the Chandra Chronology but the GareCondidit CarolynNo-ThumbsCondidit WeirdLynch and whatever other goons were hired by Condidit....I do not believe this exists....the Condidits were interviewed two months after Chandra disappeared and two months after Condidit SHOULD have been considered a suspect ( halted due to the cover-up)....this is OUTRAGEOUS and the lack of a timeline and a polygraph and the LACK OF ANY EFFORT TO ACTUALLY INVESTIGATE THIS CASE is the reason CONDIDIT IS NOT IN JAIL and prima facie evidence of a cover-up.

Well, I don't think it would have been too hard to obtain the lime (btw, I said dip in quicklime, not quick dip in lime) (Darrell could have bought some with cash or "borrowed" some from an open mine site), but yeah, I agree the corpse good have frozen or stuck in a "regular" hole in the ground somewhere in north-central Virginia. (I've been caving a few times before but not in several years. I'm doing graduate work at one of the institutions you mentioned; perhaps I'll look up the caving group.) Some of the other Condit connections to this area mentoned by others are intriguing.
Agree that Condit was relying on his charm to carry AMS. Pay phone could have been used only b/c the cell was out of range (mine was in Luray last August). He probably figures he can get away with murder(s) because of what he knows, or rather thinks he knows, about everything from suitcase nukes to TWA 800.

One more question about yr thesis -- do you think the corpse was flensed by the elements in Rock Creek, or by someone before its placement there? If the latter, who? Gary? Darrell? (Who, btw, is missing again. Hmmmm.) Lynch? Dayton? Kasich? Some combination thereof?
