'However, many of us have known for years about the D.C. police'.

O.K., but I've only known about it since they ' took care of ' Vince Foster.I wonder How Mr. Lemmings, Mr. Blather and Mr. Jokaw are going to report this possibly fascinating oversight on the news tonight.Or will they just ignore it?

Levy's remains were found recently in an isolated section of DC's Rock Creek park.

Why wasn't this handled by the Park Police. After the wondefful job they did with Vince Fos.......Oh!....Never mind.

Chief Ramsey always did remind me of Chief Wiggum. I guess he is just as incompetent as well.

The comparison is an insult to and mockery of the professionalism and dedication of a hard-working and tough but fair cop. Wiggums, not Ramsey....

The hanger-gauge wire was found still around the bone, according to one report I read. Got a link?

I believe this was stated on either Fox with Shepard Smith or on MSNBC last night.

Ramsey just said, "We blew it."

As in, "We blew on our coffee before dunking our donuts in it...just in case it was too hot. Melts the glaze, you know."

I just heard something on WMAL Talk Radio about Condit being about to be indicted. Maybe they're just reporting the National Enquirer story. But still, it's something for this to be on the air.

Wow, we knew Chief Ramsey & Co. were pretty incompetent, but we didn't think they were THIS bad!

I had realized the Washington Post had a story on this in today's issue. Here's a link: Levy Family Investigators Find Bone in Search Area .

Washington Post article puts distance at 50 feet, as opposed to the original report of 25 yards.

The Washington Post article indicates the PI's did use rakes. I wonder where they learned that trick, since they are former D.C. policemen.

That may be true but winter also adds leaves on the ground that didn't break down yet plus the mud and snow. A friend told me that when he went relic hunting with a metal detector, he liked to got after the rains and just before the leaves sprouted. When I pick up my brass after I shoot, I like the same time period.
