This is all simply unbelievable that the Police are this inept!!! They'll use this case in Police textbooks for how NOT to perform an investigation and search!!

It has been an open secret since May 23 that all police work is going forward on the theory that this is what is called a "SECONDARY" site.

That means that the crimes of murder, abduction, etc. took place elsewhere, and this is just where the body was dumped, be that in 13 minutes or in 13 months...

As Sarah W so aptly said it on another thread, this is truly the butthead police department.

The Levy's investigators went out to the crime scene and found the leg bone!

This theory has more credibility with this latest discovery. Is it a serial killer, taunting police by setting out the evidence a little bit at a time? Some kind of nut, like in a James Patterson novel? Or is it someone, a former associate, who helped to "disappear" Chandra, sending a message to Gary? Pay up, or else....you're next!

I have read other Freepers say she was reburied, rethrown, or whatever at Rock Creek Park, but in my opion that would be rediculous. Especially after 13 months

Why in the world would anybody do that? Oh, I have read once the place was searched then it would be a good idea to put the body there. It would take a pretty ignorant person to think the body would never be found in such a place.

I think they lied about not checking the site before. If it was a known place for secret or private meetings it stands to reason it would have been searched early on. DCPD have done everything reluctantly in this case. Still don't know if they are covering up or just plain lazy.

You are probably wondering how this discovery came about. Here's the true story of the events that preceded it.

The scene is a gourmet food establishment next door to a Thigh restaurant in Northwest Washington. Officers Lou and Eddie are in the process of consuming samples of fine products of Krispy Kreme Multinational, Inc:

This is outrageous. The police never took the CLUE (remember "no clues to her whereabouts" last summer?) of her looking at the park's website seriously. They never did the more "expanded" search with cadets until Chandra's web activities were released and the police were asked if they had thoroughly searched the park due to this map search. Plain old lay people were able, at the time, to think this would be a logical place to look! The poor Levy's must be sickened at this revelation. I am very glad they have private investigators able to keep searching.

I want to know WHO IS THE TURTLE MAN?
Don't you find it strange that the media knew immediately who the man
was that saw Condit throw the watch box away, but they
aren't finding out who the turtle man is.

Maybe it was one of the private investigators who
found the bones in the first place. Maybe they took the
thigh bone and after Greta did her program showing how the
police left behind so much stuff, they put it back and then called
the police so they would have egg in their face.
This is my conspiricy theory and I'm sticking to it. ;-)
