After the first two breaks in the case being made by a turtle hunter and the P.I.s, I predict the next big break will come from a 9-year-old girl looking for wildflowers with her grandmother. Or perhaps from a little girl with wildflowers looking for her grandmother. After all, it is D.C...........

"They did miss the leg bone." How can you be blamed for missing something (leg bone) if it wasn't there when you searched?

Bone found 25 yards from where Chandra was found. 25 yards from which part of her body? Her spinal column, which was one place, or her skull, which was in another, or ...?

Why don't liberals require trigger locks and licensing for condoms? It would be right in line with their 'logic'...

It didn't look like a 'pair' of nylons. It looked like a single knee-high nylon stocking- not the sort of thing a woman would have removed in a park, not even for sex, since it didn't extend above the knee and wouldn't be in the way. I can't think of any reason to take off such a garment out in the woods unless a gal just wanted to walk barefoot... not likely ina rough patch of woods. It did not appear 'old' or 'new' as nylon holds up extremely well to weather (I use the things to tie up my tomato plants and clemitis vines and the nylon holds up for ages.) The nylon kneehigh didn't look like it had been used to tie anything as it was not distorted or stretched. Greta also found one men's penny loafer, with the sole coming loose, and a condom wrapper, which appeared fairly new.

Michael Doyle, BEE Washington Bureau reporter, states today (6-7-02) that Condit met Thursday with members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, regarding 9/11 and the war on terrorism. Another committee member said he detected "no sign that Condit felt undue pressure."

it does sound like Chandras remains were bound whith whatever they could lay their hands on in order to transport the it to the location where it was found. The second that Chandra was identified Condits attorney said"this will completely exonerate my client". What made him think that? For all I know the Condit clan thinks if they give back the body Gary can still be king.

Wonder how high the water rises from the creek below?
To: dalebert
I wish somebody would post on here that picture of Carolyn Condit. She looks like she has just about had it, is just about ready to tell what she knows and relieve her conscience. (Something Gary lacks.)
Mrs. Condit was from Tulsa's elite, and was sent to the best Catholic schools, and surely has, down under there, a Catholic conscience instilled in her by the good sisters at the school. In fact, she is wearing a cross in the picture, she had really had many crosses to bear in life.
She ran off with Scary Gary, a bad boy from across the tracks, son of a pentecostal tent preacher, when to marry him was actually against Oklahoma law...he lied about his age and claimed to be 25 when he was barely 18...this is all on the public record in the northeastermost county in Oklahoma.
To: dalebert
That creek is just a trickle (broad branch it is called)(unless heavy rain recently)...the main Rock Creek is a mile on down.
This bone was found about 29 yards from where the skull was found, which in turn is 100 feet down the hill from where the spine was found. They do not seem to say how far it was from the spine.
Now: where are the left femur and fibula?
To: dalebert
The bone and wire, which Cmdr. LoJacono described as one typically used to constrain trees in a wooded area, were found near a fallen tree in a region of the park that detectives had searched previously. It sounds to me that the wire was commonly used in this park to constrain trees. Something handy to kill Chandra with at the park, not to transport the body later.
To: FR_addict
You have been taken in by the disinformation. The wire is a coat hanger. It happens to be the same gauge of wire as is used for saplings in the lower park, where the area is gardened and manicured, but hardly up here in the brush!
To: codebreaker
Looks as though Condit was still a member in good standing of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence yesterday.
To: piasa
To answer your question, 25 yds from her skull.
The search perimeter was 300 yds.
The bone was there. They just missed it. And obviously, they didn't try real hard, if they tried at all, to locate all the animal dens and nests nearby.
It's SOP to look for those in older crime scenes like these, because animals haul off things from the body, from bones to buttons. Stuff that can solve a crime, or fill in the story of how it was carried out.

I agree with the something handy part, but it was something handy to restrain her with, not kill her.

Does anyone here who believe that Gary Condit's wife was repsponsible think that Gary knew ahead of time what her plans were? Do you think she confessed to him afterwards? Explain your theory of what role you believe congressman Condit played in the coverup.
Be interested to hear your thought process.

Washington Post article says: "about 50 feet from a cleared section of the park where police looked for Levy's remains during a weeklong search."
