IE probably runs better on Macs than it does on Wintel.

I'd say that IE runs equally well on both platforms (I use both Mac and Wintel), but you're right about one thing - considering the sheer number of platforms that Mozilla has been ported to (and in stable form, no less!), it's a pretty impressive product.

Depends which MacOS you're using. There's been some widely reported problems with IE's rendering time in OSX
