But something is telling me she was not kidnapped, but rather ran off with a boyfriend. In her pajamas without taking anything else? Letting her little sister by frightened and traumatized? I doubt it. The abductor may have known her, but if she willingly went with a boyfriend, she'd have snuck out and worn something other than pjs.

Is it just me, or do this girl's eyes look "flat" in both of the pictures we have seen? It's just you.

I think her eyes look flat as well; but I do not think she ran away with the man. I believe she was kidnapped. She is very innocent, as you can plainly tell by the picture. And she is a very good girl.
Her sister must be beside herself. She no doubt kept her mouth shut because she was terrified for her sister- just talk to experts in the field, and they will tell you so- I pray for them all. Especially that young sister. If Elizabeth turns up dead, the sister will always be wondering if she had anything to do with it, or could have done something different. It will haunt this poor family for the rest of their lives. This is such a tragedy.

I agree as well.

I agree, there are a lot of loose ends here.

Here's something I just don't get. Why would this guy leave one of the girls behind after having given her plenty of opportunity to identify him? It sounds by the 9 yr old's testimony that she not only saw him clearly, she also heard him speak. WHy would he not take off with BOTH of them?

I imagine the Neopolitan Mastiff (pictured above) is the same as the Italian. Here is the blurb on the origins of the Rotty:
The Rottweiler is probably descended from the Italian Mastiff. During the Middle Ages, it was used as a herd dog. It was bred in the German town of Rottweil in Wurttemberg. Practically extinct in the 1800's, the breed population began a comeback in the early twentieth century due to the efforts of enthusiastic breeders centered in Stuttgart. Some of the Rottweilers talents include: tracking, herding, watchdogging, guarding, police work, carting, competitive obedience, and schutzhund.

I get the same question all the time.

I can't understand why a $2 million home wouldn't have a security system...especially after a kidnapping for ransom across the street the previous year?

She no doubt kept her mouth shut because she was terrified for her sister- We don't really know if she kept her mouth shut for two hours. It might be a lie by parents and police. Its just as possible she went to parents right away and the parents don't want that to affect what the kidnapper does.

WHy would he not take off with BOTH of them?He could only carry one and if he killed one of them be probably would have awakened the others and gotten caught.

Have you found any connection between the two?

Three other men were sentenced in December by Lemhi County Magistrate Fred Snook for poaching elk in the Salmon Region. Two of the men already had their licenses revoked two weeks before for the same reason! The three, Keith Hescock and Dennis Christensen, both of Idaho Falls, and Duane Christensen from Garland, Utah were sentenced to: hunting licenses revoked for six years, 90 days in jail, suspended pending further violations, and total fines of $16,257.Someone might want to look into connections.
