The War Room was one of the first stations to play the Ballad of Mike Moran and promoted it heavily for us. Give him and Vetnet a listen today. Remember, archives are available if you can't catch the show live.

You did a good job of mentioning Free Republic at the outset, heheh. Great job! Aren't you glad we sent Jim a CD! He really loves the song and played the heck out of it when it was new, then played it a bunch again before St. Patrick's Day. Looks like that beer sponsorship will turn out to be a reality after all.
Right now on the show, Jim is giving out ordering info for the CD, which appears on The War Room front page now. Be sure to click The War Room Archives to hear yourself later.

Did I miss it already? Thanks for the ping!

Hey JR! I'm so glad you posted this!
The hosts, Quinn & Rose are a hoot to talk to and very supportive.
I plugged Freeperville twice and asked "The War Room" at WRRK in Pittsburgh to get involved with a music video for the song.
They even posted our new artwork on their station websiteThe War Room
We also have it listed at "THE FIREMAN SONG" WEBSITE
Thanks for the bump & GO FREE REPUBLIC!!!

I myself had no idea Vetnet would be on today until a half hour before he came on. Quinn mentioned that Vetnet would be there after 8 AM, so I just started typing immediately, posted, then pinged. I'm still out of breath, heheh.
Sorry you missed it LIVE, but later today (usually after 4 PM Eastern), you can just click on The War Room source link above, then click on "Show Archives" at the upper left part of the page. Once on the archives page you can select from several versions of streaming audio, or download the mp3 version. You'll enjoy the interview a lot; our fellow FReeper did us proud this morning.

Good job this morning, Vetnet. I'll try to listen to you on the archives later this evening.

Way to go, Chris. Osama can kiss mine, too. May people come through for the video.
Dave Schippers proudly displays his poster on the wall in his Chicago office. May it adorn walls around this nation.

Thanks Fred, (Say "Hi" to Ethel)
My interview has been rescheduled so many times, I was afraid to cry "wolf" again, but all of the sudden, a flurry of requests for the artwork and BOOM: The interview! I think it came out pretty good.
Jim Quinn and his partner Rose have played the song so much over the last few months and we're really grateful for their support.
Thanks to Freepers everywhere for helping us out, also!
The world famous sculptor, Dave McGary has told me that he'd create a bronze statue for New York, that's based on the imagery in the poster, if we can find supporters for the project. Any feedback on that is welcome!

I told Jim Quinn that our next song will be,"Saddam can Yank our Doodle Dandy"
(Be sure to catch the replay archive)

I've been listening to Jim and Rose for over 5 years now. IMO, his show, more than any other talk radio show (not counting Radio FR), is the most like Free Republic in terms of point of view, tone, and subjects covered. I knew he'd be a good guy to hook up with for this CD; he's our kind of people.
Once again, great job today. Give me a heads up re further plans with The War Room and I'll be happy to lend a hand.
To: jrewingjr
You've hit the nail on the head, JR.
I felt very much at home on the show, even with Jim's outrageous sound effects.
They also told me off-air that they will replay the interview several times more, as it is taped (including the Fourth of July weekend.)
On-air I told them I would love to film a Fourth of July parade sequence for the music video. Rose said she'd pitch it to some beer distributors for sponsorship.
I told her the whole song is "politically incorrect" as hell anyway, so why not ask a tobacco company to sponsor it, too?...L.O.L.

The archives of this morning's 06-05-02 show are now posted and ready for all who couldn't be there LIVE this AM.
Go to the War Room Show Archives, then select your choice of streaming types or mp3 download.
To: jrewingjr
Unfortunately, they weren't holding the "archive record" switch during my interview or the song while they were playing it this morning, so they're going to track down an MP3 copy from a listening post somewhere and use that for a patch-in on replay shows.
I don't know if or when they'll post it to archives....But you should of heard it live!

I caught every second of it live, great job again. I listen every day, so when it IS available to stream or download, I will let you know and post it here at FR.
