Pray for Bush Day 627

Dear Heavenly Father,

I thank You for this day and for Your blessings. I thank You for the love which You have shown me and all of Your children. I thank You for the freedom and privilege we have been given as Americans and pray that we will not take it for granted. Life is fleeting, Lord, and all the things which we love on this earth are temporal. May we have You as our number 1 priority in everything and may Your name be glorified in all we say and do.

Father, I lift up President Bush and ask for You to protect him. Give him wisdom as he himself has asked. Give him discernment in his dealings with others. Give him a mind that craves the truth and a heart that desires above all else to do Your will. Move in him that he may make a wonderful impact for Your kingdom while he is President. For though he can not legislate religion, he can certainly act to preserve the free exercise thereof. Protect him and protect his family I pray.

Go with us the rest of this day and into tomorrow and we praise You for all You are and for all You do. For it is in the precious and holy name of Christ Jesus my Lord that I pray, Amen.

I pray for the protection of President Bush. Let him go confidently and accurately even under pressure, in the call to serve this nation, staying at all times under your guidance and wisdom. Guide and keep Laura, his daughters, Barbara and Jenna. Guard Vice President Cheney from harm, and keep him healthy and strong.

God, I ask that You protect and guide Donald Rumsfield during these days, and also those who are present with him. Forward, guide and bless the plans of those who represent this nation before a culture so different than our own so evil, and so unwilling to cooperate in peace. Impart wisdom to ourambassadors, and touch them, each moment, with understanding of the situation in its parts and as a whole, and with steps toward solutions for it.

I join with all your children on this website and through the nation praying for a revival of the Holy Spirit and power. Thank You, Lord, in Jesus' Name.

Mighty God, Everlasting Father,

You are the Lord of our life and the God of our salvation. Only You are the God of our peace and the hope of America. We humbly ask that You would hear and receive our prayers this evening for our President and this nation.

We need You to restore our consciences, Father. So much rationalization is taking place about the need for tolerance and for the acceptance of every type of behavior. We know that the devil seeks to blur our vision so that the line between right and wrong becomes increasingly fuzzy. He also works in our government to enable our judges and legislators to legally endorse sins, such as abortion, and to disguise them as rights and choices that free people are entitled to. Father, we have allowed liberal politicians, homosexuals, feminists, and abortionists to destroy the idea of the traditional family. Please come into the heart of every American and clean house! Please scrub down our legislature, Lord! Purge us of the lies! Purge us of our self-centeredness! Purge us of every inch we have allowed the devil, for every move we have made away from You!

Draw us back to prayer, Dearest Lord. Let us find the sweet communion of spending time in Your presence. Teach us to seek Your will in all our circumstances, but let us never cease to cast every burden upon You who will sustain us. We know, Father, that there is no problem too great to be given You, nor none too small.

May our President Bush be given everything he needs to be the leader You want him to be.. Enable him to have the courage of Daniel, the wisdom of Solomon, the faith of David, the faithfulness of Paul, the forgiveness of Joseph, and the love of his Savior, Jesus Christ. Help him to walk toward You each day and let him never keep his eyes off the cross.

Go with each of us this evening and help us to be messengers of Your peace. Fill our hearts with the desire to please You and You alone. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and King, Amen.

Heavenly Father, how wonderful You are to us...acting on our behalf...You are precious to us. We lift Your name on high for You alone are worthy of all glory, power, and dominion.I love You.

Father,we seek Your Holy Spirit to convict..... as Faith has prayed...of Your holiness and righteousness. May Your church be stirred to understand from where they have fallen. You provided us with Your Holy Spirit to live in us...God in us...God in us..how could we fall?? I understand the unsaved being blind to the truth, but I pray You will send Your Spirit to reveal the truth to them. But Your children, who have been given forgiveness of sins and access to You through prayer and Your very own Spirit to live in them? I pray for a resurrection from the dead, in Jesus name, amen.
