You might check with the Dallas GOP. Perhaps there are others with the same questions?

AUSTIN Supporters of a political purity test plan to bear a distinctive logo at this week's state GOP convention aimed at ridding the party of what they call RINOs Republicans in Name Only.
Some in GOP push for test of loyalty

Are we (Freepers and PalTalkers) planning to get together Friday night, perhaps for dinner? If so, where?

Check Your Freep-Mail. We can provide transportation (we have ride space available). Contact Antivenom regarding lodging.

I hope so, Bigun ---- I have talked to you a lot on Paltalk, but looking forward to meeting people face to face.
To: Bigun
Look forward to seeing you there. I don't know what my schedule is. I volunteered to help with the FR booth.

"face to face."
Don't look in the eyes.....it can be "taxing"? LOL
To: Smartaleck
Looking face to face to Hillary would be taxing....... Face to face with Freepers can't be that bad..... LOL

SORRY...we (I) can not afford the liability. Maybe next year.

WHERE TO EAT IN DALLAS
There are several up-scale restaurants at the
West End, which is about 6 blocks north of the Dallas Convention Center. There is a map link at the top of that page.
You can compare that map to the
Dallas Convention Center area map
MY FAVORITE: If you want to get out of downtown Dallas, drive north on I-75 (Central Expressway) about 5 miles and turn right onto Walnut Hill Lane and less than a football field distance away, there's a
GREAT restaurant on the left called
HOUSTONS. They have a variety from $8 to $19. Their ribs are wonderful, as is the chicken (and if you have any space left over for dessert... wow!!). Right next door is
Dave & Busters (I've never been there but have heard good reports). One place that used to be downtown was
Del Frisco's Steakhouse. But he's now located at Spring Valley (North Dallas) according to
here.

At home, I have a copy of the political platforms of Texas dating back to the 1860's. In the 1912 Democrat Platform, they called for a strict adherance to the platform by all democrat candidates because any deviation from it fostered party discord. In the 1996 State Republican Convention, I testified before the platform committee and quoted from that Democrat platform as something that we ought to consider. It generated quite a "buzz".
Unfortunately, I'm to be out of state this weekend, and can't make it to the convention this year.

For those who may be driving downtown, the convention center has about 1100 parking spaces at $8.00 per day.
Other downtown parking and rates are to be found on this PDF (Acrobat) document...

If using Netscape, click Bookmark on the menu at the top of the screen...add bookmark.
If using Internet Explorer click favorites from the menu at the top of the screen..add favorite.
Easier still...place your mouse on the icon in the url/address box, left click and hold the button...drag to your desktop. Now you have an icon and the link.

We may consider printing up a single sheet describing FR and placing them in the SD Caucus Meeting seats.
It sounds like we will need to hook up a cell phone to a laptop if we are going to have an internet connection. The wireless network connections to the Convention Center's system is $800+.
