“This is a little hard to take,” said Hamilton Cooke of Jacksonville, Fla.

What, Mr. Cooke? The truth? Shaking the foundations of the revisionist history you've been taught in public education centers?

Happy Birthday, President Davis

There's a story about the yankee soldiers who captured Jefferson Davis. They were transporting him north, toward the prison where he would spend two years, not charged with a crime.

Passing some Confederate veterans traveling home, the blue belly taunted them: "Hey, Johnny Reb, we've got your president."

"Yessir," the butternut soldier replied, "and the devil's got yours."

Enough said.

Well I hope Mr. Cooke didn't let the proverbial door hit him in the @ss when he left, there was no reason to be offended by this. I hate people that have such a chip on their shoulder that they look for a confrontation where ever they go, Mr. Cooke stay at the house I'm sure nobody there will offend you.

My favorite Southern flag....add a magnolia and it's the original flag of my homestate. I wear it proudly as the front tag of my beat up old Land Rover.
